Formula E: between all-wheel drive and Gen3.5

Formula E: tra la trazione integrale e la Gen3.5

As expected, many ideas were offered by the protagonists of the electric single-seater “circus” right from the first day of testing for Formula E in Valencia.

The rumours chase each other and the attention of the “Orecchio Lungo di Electric Motor News” (Long Ear of Electric Motor News) has caught many details of which we will deepen in the coming days, but which are worth anticipating.

Formula E: tra la trazione integrale e la Gen3.5In the first place, the great desire to make the front engine that powered the Gen3 become a true traction engine, with the consequent increase in overall power and all-wheel drive.

Lucas di Grassi makes no secret of pushing in that direction as he declared in the press conference published by Electric Motor News (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSfIeDxLNus&t=1s) but hearing other “bells” we discovered that the opinions are conflicting.

Among the voices heard by our “Long Ear” there are those that signal the start of work on the Gen3.5 car, which will be visually identical to the current ones but with more developed software waiting for Gen4, on which we are already starting to speak even if lukewarmly.

Another mysterious object are the chargers for the Gen3 cars, which according to Formula E will begin to make the “Attack charge” this season… but more than someone opens their eyes wide to hear about this.

In the next few days we will start talking about this…
