Since this season, Formula E has been using the Korean Hankook tires which cover interesting routes to be regularly present in the different race venues.
For the season opener in Mexico City, the tires departed from the headquarters in Seongnam-si, near Seoul in South Korea as they were “beautified” for their debut in Formula E and in an E- Prix where the Korean manufacturer was the “title sponsor” of the race.
On this occasion, the tires that will be used at the San Paolo E-Prix on 25 March were sent by ship in the same load, in order to optimize the journey.
Those tires used in Diriyadh left and returned to the hub that Hankook owns in the port of Livorno (Italy), while the tires used in Hyderabad traveled the same route.
Loads will depart from Korea to bring the tires to the E-Prix of Cape Town (South Africa), Jakarta (Indonesia) and Portland (USA), while all the European Formula E races will be supplied from Livorno with Hankook vehicles, without use the logistics of Formula E.
