The results achieved by Sealence after the financing round on 15 December 2023

The company Sealence SpA communicates the results achieved after the financing round which closed on December 15th.

The total cash raised amounted to €7,556,386.25, obtained through equity instruments, debt, and grants, the latter mainly supporting Experimental Research and Industrial Development activities. Regarding the grants, Sealence specifies that there are still amounts, including significant ones, that will be collected in the coming months as the underlying projects progress.

I risultati raggiunti da Sealence dopo il round di finanziamento al 15 Dicembre 2023The round involved 175 investors, including Institutional Investors and major Credit Institutions, as well as Professional, Industrial, and Private Investors. The total number of investors in the cap table now reaches 573.

The total fundraising since the start of the industrial plan activities (2019) stands at approximately €16.5 million, while investments made in Industrial Research and Experimental Development activities amount to around €9 million.

Sealence currently employs, at the group level, 45 resources with multidisciplinary skills and a predominance of highly educated profiles. The growth plan foresees the employment of over 450 people at full capacity, including those involved in production and assembly lines.

The Sealence 2024-2032 industrial plan has been confirmed in 2023, envisioning capital expenditures of an additional €54 million in the coming years, mainly in setting up production and assembly lines and, to a lesser extent, in the development of additional products related to the CORE business.

I risultati raggiunti da Sealence dopo il round di finanziamento al 15 Dicembre 2023Partnerships with various universities historically supporting the project have also been renewed, including the University of Padua coordinated by the excellent Professor Ernesto Benini and a new addition, the University of Cagliari, playing a leading role in the in-water experimentation of Sealence-developed technologies.

Currently, four different vessels, ranging from 6 to 15 meters, equipped with Sealence propulsion and powertrain systems, are in the water for testing. In the coming months, two more hulls, one of 11 meters and one of 17 meters, will join them.

The DeepSpeed electric propulsion vessel with maximum speed has reached approximately 60 knots, while the one with maximum autonomy covers about 180 nautical miles – over 330 km.
