The first A-class SUV equipped with BYD e-platform 3.0 named Yuan Plus EV, was officially launched in San José, Costa Rica. This was also Yuan Plus EV’s debut in the Americas.
Yokasta Valle, a Costa Rican professional boxer and the IBF female mini flyweight World Champion, shared her sports stories with Yuan Plus EV and showed the vehicle-to-load(VTOL) function of Yuan Plus EV to the guests.
As the official distributor of BYD in Costa Rica, Cori Motors has cooperated with BYD for many years to expand the new energy vehicle market in Costa Rica. Under this close cooperation, many popular new energy vehicles of BYD, such as Tang EV, Han EV, and Yuan Pro (locally known as “S1 Pro EV”), have been introduced into Costa Rica. In addition, BYD has helped Fortune Global 500 Companies, such as Walmart and Coca-Cola, achieve and expand the electrification of their fleets in Costa Rica.
The introduction of Yuan Plus EV into Costa Rica further enriches BYD’s local product line of new energy vehicles.
