Customers of 40th Thailand International Motor Expo, a 13-day event, shown great interests in the electric vehicles and BYD Thailand secured 5,455 orders, ranking the third place.
The Motor Expo has come to a close, setting a new record with the sales of over 50,000 vehicles.
During the exhibition, BYD Thailand showcased a number of its flagship models, including the BYD Atto 3, BYD Dolphin, and BYD Seal, and many more. These models were widely acclaimed by consumers and professionals for their cutting-edge EV technology, superior performance and innovative design.
Ke Yubin, the General Manager of BYD Thailand, spoke at the closing ceremony, stating:
We are very honored to achieve such outstanding results at this year’s expo. The 5,455 orders are a testament to the market’s wide recognition of BYD’s electric vehicles. In addition, according to the recently released registration data of pure electric vehicles in Thailand for November 2023, the BYD Dolphin ranked first with sales of 2,825 units, closely followed by the BYD Atto 3, which sold 1,142 units.
The impressive results of this expo demonstrate the growing demand for electric vehicles in the Thai market. According to the plan, Thailand aims to convert about 30% of its annual production of 2.5 million vehicles into EVs by 2030 and is preparing incentives to encourage more investment and conversion into EV manufacturing. These impetus will greatly promote the EV adoption in the Thai market and even in the ASEAN countries.
