First meeting with the French Motorcycle Federation in Paris

Paris, France. February 2016. The French Motorcycle Federation gathered the main Manufacturers of electric Motorbikes on the 9th of February in Paris to discuss about the creation of a championship of Electric Supermotard to be held on street circuits.

As Mr Jean-Paul Levy, the promoter of the Racinger City Tour Supermotard E Championship, said:

“The project will allow a better promotion of the discipline and of the electric motorbikes in general” and the race calendar will be officialised soon.

Pierpaolo Rigo, co-founder of Tacita, took also part to the meeting.

“We strongly believe in the sustainable mobility and since the foundation of Tacita, we have developed a whole program related to the respect of the environment. we are happy about this new project to race electric supermotards on street circuits. Off road and racing are part of our DNA. Our Tacita T-Race Rally was the first electric bike to debut on an International African Rally. We also participated to extreme raids such as the Hard Alpitour or the Winter Heros 2016, where the Dakar rider Franco Picco rode our Tacita T-Race Rally. The five-time Motocross World Champion Joël Smets also raced with Tacita in occasion of the E-Mx Race 2015 in Zolder, Belgium and it was a great show for all the motorsport fans.

Thanks to the French Motorcycle Federation and to the promoter of the Racinger City Tour Supermotard E Championship we have the opportunity to race also in Supermotard.
