As Electric Motor News published on July 20th from London (read the article here), the Swiss driver Nico Müller will race with Andretti in the season 11th of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Andretti Global announced yesterday that Nico Müller will join the team alongside confirmed teammate and Season 9 World Champion, Jake Dennis.

The Swiss driver joins the team as a new part of Porsche’s customer racing operations, piloting the Andretti Porsche 99X Electric machine in his fifth season of Formula E competition as the series enters its GEN3 Evo era.

Nico Müller firma con Andretti in Formula ENico Müller finished Season 10 strong with a streak of four top-six finishes to round out his fourth Formula E campaign and best finish in the Driver’s Championship standings. Throughout his 46 Formula E starts, Nico Müller has one podium finish (Valencia, Season 7), two fastest laps and has led 13 laps. In addition to his Formula E success dating back to his official rookie test in Marrakesh, Nico Müller has served as an official Audi factory driver, won the prestigious Nürburgring 24h (2015) and fought for the DTM title twice (2019, 2020), winning nine races and standing on the podium 24 times. Adding to the Swiss driver’s varied racing career, he has also competed in the World Endurance Championship, World Rallycross, GT Series and Stock Car racing.

The addition of Müller to Andretti Formula E comes after a season of mixed results that saw the American team score one win (Dennis, Diriyah), one pole (Dennis, Berlin), five podium finishes and fifth in the Team’s Championship, the highest finishing customer team in Formula E. Season 11 will be Andretti Formula E’s 11th season of Formula E competition, dating back to the inaugural 2014/2015 season when the team became the first American outfit to join the all-electric racing series.

Nico Müller will take to the track for the first time with Andretti Formula E later this month as part of a Porsche Manufacturer test alongside teammate Dennis, before heading to Valencia in November for the official pre-season test.
