We had already noticed this phenomenon during the Valencia tests, but now it’s official: most Formula E team uniforms are black.
Obviously, it’s normal for Jaguar TCS, Porsche, DS Penske, Envision, and Cupra Kiro to show up in this color, which recalls the color of the manufacturer they represent.
However, it was a surprise to see that the Mahindra and Citroën MSG teams, whose logos feature the color red, adopted black uniforms.
After the black one, the numbers are for the color red, adopted by the Andretti and Nissan teams; while the “blue sheep”… so to speak… are those of Lola Yamaha ABT with their bright blue and yellow uniforms.
It’s obvious that the choice was made because black is a color that makes dirt less visible… but it would have been nice to see a more “colorful” Formula E.
