The reserve driver David Beckmann will replace André Lotterer at double header Jakarta E-Prix in the Avalanche Andretti Formula E Team.
The Avalanche Andretti Formula E reserve driver will step in for Lotterer, who will spend the weekend with Porsche’s LMDh team preparing for the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans where he will co-pilot the No. 6 PPM 963.
David Beckmann will drive the No. 36 Porsche 99X Electric at the 2023 Jakarta E-Prix.
Named the team’s reserve driver for Seasons 8 and 9, Beckmann most recently competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2021 and 2022.
The German driver won the German Junior Karting Championship in 2014, became the youngest driver in ADAC Formula 4 to claim the Rookie title in 2015 and is a multiple race winner in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
Entering Jakarta and Rounds 10 and 11 of the Season 9 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the Avalanche Andretti Formula E team sits fourth in the Team’s Championship standings and third in the Driver’s Championship with Jake Dennis just 25 points behind the leader.
The 2023 Jakarta E-Prix kicks off the second half of the season June 3-4, with seven rounds of racing remaining.
