Formula E estende il contratto con ITV nel Regno Unito

Londra, Gran Bretagna. 17 Settembre 2015. Formula E continuerà ad essere trasmessa in diretta e free-to-air su ITV nel Regno Unito per la seconda stagione del FIA di Formula E Championship.

Tutte le 11 gare saranno trasmesse in diretta su ITV4 e ITV4 HD con il London ePrix di fine stagione in onda in diretta su ITV.  La Rete ammiraglia mostrerà anche un vasto programma di highlights dopo ogni ePrix.

Ali Russell, Direttore di Media e partnership strategiche in Formula E, ha detto:

“E’ una notizia fantastica quella di estendere la nostra collaborazione con ITV. L’interesse e la sequela di Formula E nel Regno Unito è stata schiacciante ed è stato evidente in occasione delle ultime due gare a Londra. Non vediamo l’ora di continuare a costruire la Formula E insieme nel corso della stagione”.

Niall Sloane, direttore di Sports a ITV, ha detto:

“Siamo lieti di rinnovare il nostro accordo con la Formula E per il prossimo anno. Lo sport si è  costruito in modo significativo nell’emozionante primo anno e non vediamo l’ora di portare questa serie fresca, innovativa e futuristica ai nostri spettatori su ITV e ITV4”.

ITV4 è uno dei canali più importanti del Regno Unito per il motorsport dove già avviene la copertura completa del British Touring Car Championship, la MotoGP, il DTM, il British Superbike, il TT dell’Isola di Man e il Campionato del Mondo Rally.

Formula E extends deal with ITV in UK

London, United Kingdom. 17 September 2015. Formula E will continue to be televised live and free-to-air on ITV in the UK for the second season of the FIA Formula E Championship.

All 11 rounds will be broadcast live on ITV4 and ITV4 HD with the season-ending London ePrix aired live on ITV. The network’s flagship channel will also show an extensive highlights programme after each ePrix.

Ali Russell, Director of Media and Strategic Partnerships at Formula E, said:

“It’s fantastic news that we are extending our partnership with ITV. The interest and following of Formula E in the UK has been overwhelming, which was evident at the final two rounds in London. We look forward to continue to build Formula E together over the course of the season.”

“We are delighted to renew our Formula E deal for next year. The sport is building significantly on a thrilling first year and we look forward to bringing this fresh, innovative and futuristic series to our viewers on ITV and ITV4.”

ITV4 is one of the UK’s leading channels for motorsport already screening comprehensive coverage of the British Touring Car Championship, MotoGP, DTM, British Superbikes, Isle of Man TT and the World Rally Championship.
