The Formula E calendar originally featured two dates to be confirmed, May 30th and June 20th, and Electric Motor News’s Long Ear (l’Orecchio Lungo di EMN) has heard some news about this.
There was talk of Jakarta (Indonesia) and Sanya (China) being the venues for these two dates, but according to what our loyal contributor has heard on the airwaves, the Indonesian race will not take place, and this is already definitive because the deadline for signing the contract has already passed.
This date, again according to what our Long Ear has heard, will not be replaced with any other, and consequently, the 2025-2026 Formula E World Championship will have 17 races in total, instead of the 18 originally scheduled.
What has apparently been confirmed, however, is the return to Sanya, China, which in theory should be on one of the two previously reported dates (May 30th and June 20th).
