The DS Penske team presents the DS E-Tense FE25 Formula E car, with which it will compete in the eleventh season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The presentation of the car of the Franco-American team takes place less than three weeks before the official pre-season tests (scheduled from November 4 to 7) and shows off a completely new design, a more aerodynamic body, all-wheel drive and a new powertrain developed by DS Performance.
The French driver Jean-Eric Vergne, the only two-time Formula E world champion, will defend the colors of the DS Penske team together with the talented German driver Maximilian Günther, at the wheel of the new Gen3 Evo.
DS Automobiles is close to reaching a new historic, symbolic milestone. Having competed in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship since its second season, the French car manufacturer is now preparing to tackle its tenth season of activity in the top series reserved for 100% electric single-seaters, already boasting two double drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles in its palmarès, won in 2019 and 2020.
The DS E-Tense FE25, in its dark black livery with gold stripes, boasts a brand new powertrain, the result of two years of development by DS Performance. The advanced technological unit now incorporates the ultimate in technical know-how from the DS Automobiles racing department.
Combined with four-wheel drive (in 350 kW mode) and new tires that ensure optimal road holding, the new powertrain (composed of inverter, gearbox and engine) is highly efficient and aims to make the drivers’ job as easy as possible.
The objectives of the Franco-American team are clear: to confirm the excellent performances obtained in qualifying (DS Penske holds the record for pole positions in season 10), improve the race pace, position themselves among the leaders of the series and score as many podiums as possible.

Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance Director, said:
For DS Automobiles, this season has a very special flavour: it is worth more than a title. First of all, this is our tenth season in Formula E! Since 2015, we have competed in 121 races, winning four titles, 16 victories, 51 podiums and 24 pole positions: an exceptional result. In addition, we are presenting a single-seater with a completely new design and a new powertrain developed by DS Performance. I am particularly proud of the enormous work carried out by our engineers and mechanics over the last two years. The DS E-Tense FE25 will be invaluable in bringing DS Penske to new major successes.
