At the end of the Moto E practice day at Jerez to the Andalucia GP, four riders were in just 0.104secs and the fastest has been rookie Swiss Dominique Aegerter.

Dominique Aegerter  with  his Dynavolt IntactGP, was back atop the timesheets for the first time since the official test two Wednesdays ago: his 1’48.024 set in FP1 was just quick enough for the Swiss rider to edge the current series leader Eric Granado (Avintia Esponsorama Racing) by only 0.032secs.

Alex De AngelisThird place went to Mattia Casadei, who keeps improving aboard the #27 Ego Corsa of team Ongetta SIC58 Squadracorse despite the absence from last March’s pre-Covid-19 three-day test at this track. The former MotoE podium finisher at Misano ended up ahead of Alex De Angelis (OCTO Pramac MotoE) and fellow Rimini rider and title holder Matteo Ferrari (Team Trentino Gresini MotoE).

Jordi Torres (Pons Racing 40) was sixth, followed by fellow Spaniard Alejandro Medina (OpenBank Aspar Team) with Niccolò Canepa (LCR E-Team), Mike Di Meglio (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) and Canepa’s teammate Xavier Simeon completing the top ten.

Di Meglio crashed unhurt during the second session, while another former race winner, Niki Tuuli (Avant Ajo Motorsport) unfortunately suffered a right wrist fracture.
