At the end of the technical and administrative checks of the Dakar 2022 which took place in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), there are 409 vehicles registered.
144 motorcycles will participate in the various categories (of which 33 in the Original by Motul category), 20 quads, 87 cars in the T1 category, 2 in the T2 category, 48 cars in the T3 category of the Light Prototypes, 47 cars in the T4 SSV category, 56 trucks in the category T5 and finally 5 vehicles in the Open category.
Among these participants are 206 who will race the Dakar for the first time, while there are 121 distinguished “Legend” drivers and navigators racing the Dakar for the tenth time or more.
The females has also grown substantially with a total of 28 participants and three entirely female teams among them.
Among the nationalities represented, first France with 170 pilots; followed by Spain with 74 drivers and the Netherlands with 64.
Every night in the bivouac, they will be accompanied by the 142 vehicles participating in the second edition of the Dakar Classic, which will be part of a caravan of 301 drivers.
