A new range of electric vehicles equipped with photovoltaic solar systems will soon be available on the European market thanks to LUCE.
This is a new company specializing in solar vehicles based in the United Arab Emirates, but essentially made up of all Italians in terms of concept, design, and technology.
There will be two product ranges:
- A high-efficiency solar version of a sports hypercar incorporating all the innovative lighting technologies, including Perovskite solar panels, axial flux in-wheel motors, solid-state batteries, and a special BMS with solar algorithms.
- Other mass-market vehicles will be derived from new models already available on the Chinese market, offering excellent prices and featuring the novelty of solar charging via panels that cover the entire surface of the vehicle.
Negotiations are still ongoing with major Chinese manufacturers to define exactly which models will be chosen for the solar conversion.
For now, only a few renderings are available, depicting a sedan, a station wagon, and an SUV.
The era of a new revolution in the automotive sector is approaching, and Italy, this time, appears to be in pole position.
