BYD arriva in Serbia

BYD has officially arrived in Serbia, bringing cutting-edge technology and efficient pure-electric and DM-i plug-in hybrid models to another European car market.

Serbian customers are being offered an exciting and varied line-up of models in the initial product roll-out. The line-up begins with BYD’s latest offering in Europe, the Atto 2 SUV. With compact dimensions, excellent manoeuvrability and a generous standard-equipment list, the Atto 2 will appeal to buyers who want an urban vehicle without compromises on technology or features. BYD is also making the larger Atto 3 available in Serbia.

In addition to these models, EV buyers are being offered the all-electric Seal sedan, as well as BYD’s current European flagship, the high-performance Sealion 7 SUV. This model can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds, while offering up to 502km of range from its Blade Battery. It also harnesses the full potential of BYD’s renowned commitment to research and development (with over 120,000 engineers globally), featuring Cell-to-Body construction for exceptional rigidity and safety, along with the world’s fastest electric motor in mass production, capable of an astonishing 23,000rpm.

BYD arriva in SerbiaFor those buyers who require more regular long-distance cruising flexibility, BYD is also introducing the Seal U DM-i family SUV as part of the first wave of vehicles in Serbia. Equipped with BYD’s self-developed Super DM hybrid system, which mixes the smooth responsive driving experience of an EV with exceptional real-world battery range, the Seal U DM-i can travel for more than 1,000km when fully charged and filled with petrol. Additional models, including the Dolphin hatchback, will arrive in Serbia in due course.

The Serbian market entry comes through a partnership with TDV Automotive, as BYD maintains its policy of working with leading network groups across Europe. The first retail outlet is opening in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, at Bulevar Milutina Milankovića, and plans are already in place for a further three sales and service centres to open by the end of 2025.

Stella Li, BYD Executive Vice President, commented:

We’re very excited to be opening our network in Serbia, starting in Belgrade. At BYD, our mission is to make our sustainable technologies as accessible to as many consumers as possible, so every new market in Europe is extremely important to us. We’re delighted, too, to be launching with such a wide range of vehicles – all of which deliver the appealing mix of quality, efficiency and technology that we are known for. We’re looking forward to growing our presence here throughout 2025 and beyond.
