Renault elettrica alla salita Shelsley Walsh

Shelsley Walsh, Gran Bretagna. 19 Giugno 2017. Renault ha accolto la sfida con la vettura elettrica nella gara che si svolgerà il 3 e 4 Giugno presso la Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb.

Il Midland Automobile Club ha invitato tutti i produttori di automobili ad entrare in una varietà di classi con la classe elettrica che è l’obiettivo principale, quello di creare una nuova storia nella cronoscalata antica di 122 anni.

Renault ha afferrato l’opportunità e si è iscritta con la Renault ZOE Dynamique. Con 92hp, 220 Nm di coppia, una velocità massima di 84mph ed accelerazione da 0-62mph di 13,5 secondi, la Zoe sarà completamente carica e pronta per impostare il primo record di una vettura elettrica.

I piloti saranno il noto autore del giornale Autocar Steve Cropley e il suo collega Sam Sheehan che condivideranno la guida nei due giorni.

Mark Constanduros, responsabile commerciale di Shelsley Walsh ha commentato:

“Questa è una grande novità. Renault amava l’idea che abbiamo presentato e si è molto impegnata”.

“Questo aspetto dell’evento è nuovo per noi ed è una cosa che vorremmo costruire nei prossimi anni, dando ai produttori un’occasione per promuovere i propri prodotti in un ambiente vivo davanti ai potenziali clienti”.

Il British Racing Green si terrà il 3 e 4 Giugno per festeggiare tutti i costruttori britannici, sia da corse che green o evocare lo spirito di British Racing Green, con la potenza elettrica che è la forma più verde e più veloce dello sviluppo attuale.

Il club è stato fondato al The Grand Hotel di Birmingham l’11 gennaio 1901 da un certo numero di prominenti membri della precoce industria automobilistica mentre la regina Victoria era sul trono e come tale è probabilmente il più antico club di motorsport al mondo.

Renault to go electric at Shelsley Walsh

Shelsley Walsh, UK. 19th June 2017. Renault have taken up the electric car challenge that is taking place on the 3rd and 4th June at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb.

The Midland Automobile Club invited all the car manufacturers to enter a variety of classes with the electric class being the main focus, as the venue looks to create some new history at the 122 year old venue.

Renault have grabbed the opportunity and have entered the Renault ZOE Dynamique. With 92hp, 220nm of torque, a top speed of 84mph and a 0-62 time of 13.5 seconds the ZOE will be fully charged and ready to set the first record for a Battery Electric car.

The drivers will be the well renowned Autocar journalist Steve Cropley and his colleague Sam Sheehan sharing the driving over the two days.

British Racing Green takes place on the 3rd and 4th June to celebrate all things British, Racing and Green or evokes the spirit of British Racing Green, with electric power being the greenest and fastest developing form of power.

The club was established at The Grand Hotel in Birmingham on the 11th January 1901 by a number of prominent members of the early motor industry whilst Queen Victoria was on the throne and as such is arguably the oldest motor sport club in the world.

Shelsley Walsh Speed Hill Climb is the oldest motor sport venue in the world still in continuous use. It was first used in 1905 and still uses its original layout, although there are a few close rivals.

Our first speed event was held in 1901 on the edge of the rolling hills of the Cotswolds at Sun Rising Hill.

The club has always been innovative. In 1932, the BBC chose Shelsley Walsh for its first ever outside broadcast. Electronic timing was first introduced at Shelsley and in 1998 the club organised the first ever classic trial on the Isle of Man

The MAC hosts rounds of the British Hill Climb Championship, The Midland Championship and The Leaders Championship, with classes for a variety of cars from road going to full on specialist hill climb cars. The MAC also organises, sprints, sporting trials, classic car, and social events. The Midland Automobile Club features something for every motor sport and motoring enthusiast.
