Parigi, Francia. 28 Agosto 2015. E.dams Renault ha oggi confermato che manterrà Nicolas Prost e Sebastien Buemi per la prossima stagione, lo stesso schieramento di piloti che ha permesso di conquistare il titolo squadre nella stagione inaugurale.

La coppia è stata al volante della Renault ZE15 durante i test pre-campionato a Donington Park e spera in una replica della scorsa stagione quando la squadra entra la serie come nuovo costruttore.

Buemi, che ha chiuso secondo nella classifica piloti del campionato con tre vittorie al suo attivo, si è detto felice di rimanere con il costruttore francese:

“Sono molto felice di lavorare nuovamente con i ragazzi di Renault e.Dams perché tutti noi stiamo andando avanti molto bene. La squadra è un po’ più grande rispetto allo scorso anno con Renault coinvolta in prima persona, ma avere un grande produttore on fa altro che rafforzare la squadra. Dopo la nostra prestazione promettente nei test le cose stanno andando bene, ma è troppo presto per dire cosa accadrà nel corso della stagione. Vedremo!”

Parlando riguardo l’annuncio, Nicolas Prost ha detto:

“Sono felice di essere rimasto con e.dams Renault per quest’anno di Formula E. E’ importante rimanere nella stessa squadra per il bene della continuità. Tutti conosciamo bene l’un l’altro ed è molto più facile lavorare con gli stessi ragazzi e nello stesso ambiente. Sarà emozionante vedere ciò che possiamo ottenere di quest’anno, in particolare con il nuovo propulsore Renault con il quale abbiamo fatto dei promettenti test di pre-stagione a Donington”.

Renault e.dams retain Prost and Buemi

Paris, France. 28 August 2015. Renault e.dams have today confirmed that it will retain Nicolas Prost and Sebastien Buemi for next season, the same driver line-up that clinched the inaugural teams’ title.

The pair have both been behind the wheel of the Renault Z.E.15 throughout pre-season testing at Donington Park and will hope for a repeat performance of last season as the team enter the series as a new constructor.

Buemi, who finished runner-up in the drivers’ standings with three victories to his name, says he is pleased to stay on with the French manufacturer:

“I’m so happy that I’ll be working with the guys at Renault e.dams again because we all get on so well. The team is a little bigger than last year with Renault being on board but having a big manufacturer like that only strengthens the team. After our promising performance in testing things are looking good, but it’s too early to say what will happen during the season. Let’s see!”

Talking about the announcement Nicolas Prost said:

“I’m delighted to be remaining with Renault e.dams for this year’s FIA Formula E Championship. It’s important to stay in the same team for the sake of continuity. Everyone knows each other well and it’s much easier to work with the same guys and in the same environment. It’ll be exciting to see what we can achieve this year, especially with the new powertrain from Renault and a promising first run at Donington.”
