Five prototypes of the fuel cell truck Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck have driven more than 225,000 kilometres with customers.
Manufacturer Daimler Truck has published its Integrated Business Report 2025. In it, the company reports, among other things, on the customer-oriented testing of the fuel cell truck Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck.
Daimler Truck published its Integrated Business Report for the year 2025 in mid-March. The report includes the company’s second sustainability report, prepared in accordance with the EU directive Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, or CSRD for short.
GenH2 Truck covers 225,000 kilometres in customer operations
According to Daimler Truck, this distance corresponds to about five and a half circumnavigations of the equator. Comparable diesel trucks would have required around 58,000 litres of diesel for the same distance with an average total train weight of 25.6 tonnes – with a CO₂ emission of about 154 tonnes.
Battery-electric trucks with significant sales increase
In addition to the hydrogen truck, Daimler Truck also reports progress with battery-electric vehicles. Sales of battery-electric trucks and buses increased by two-thirds. The expanded portfolio includes the second-generation Mercedes-Benz eActros 400 and the Mercedes-Benz eIntouro.
