Nove piloti saranno protagonisti di una eRace virtuale innovativa

Città del Messico, Messico. 22 Marzo 2016. La reputazione del FIA Formula E Championship di essere la serie più innovativa nel mondo dei motori sarà ulteriormente rafforzata il Sabato, quando nove dei piloti prenderanno parte a una gara nel simulatore.

L’evento si svolgerà all’interno della eVillage presso l’Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez ed all’eRace parteciperanno Daniel Abt, Sebastien Buemi, Mike Conway, Salvador Duran, Loic Duval, Robin Frijns, Nick Heidfeld, Oliver Turvey e Jean-Eric Vergne uno contro l’altro in una versione virtuale nella sede della quinta gara della stagione 2015/2016.

Ci saranno due gare di sei minuti, con l’inverso della classifica del campionato a decidere l’ordine di partenza della prima corsa ed il rovescio dell’ordine di arrivo deciderà la griglia per la seconda gara.

Un fan fortunato avrà anche l’opportunità di andare ruota-a-ruota contro una parte dei migliori piloti del mondo e inizierà la prima gara dalla pole position.

Il CEO di Formula E Alejandro Agag ha dichiarato:

“Questa è la prima volta nella storia che tanti piloti da un campionato sono stati messi insieme in una gara simulata. Questo dimostra ancora una volta come l’impegno di Formula E è quello di trovare nuovi modi per aumentare l’accesso ai fan, dando loro ancora più modo di guardare i loro eroi in azione – e per una persona fortunata essere in realtà una parte dell’evento!

Sappiamo che la vera competizione è in pista,  ma sarà affascinante vedere come questo si traduce al mondo delle corse virtuali.”

La prima gara prenderà il via alle 13:45 ora locale e sarà trasmessa in diretta sul sito ufficiale

Nine star racers set for ground-breaking virtual eRace

Mexico City, Mexico. 11^th March 2016. The FIA Formula E Championship’s reputation for being the most innovative series in motorsport will be further enhanced on Saturday when nine of its star drivers take part in a simulator race.

Held within the eVillage at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, the eRace will pit Daniel Abt, Sebastien Buemi, Mike Conway, Salvador Duran, Loic Duval, Robin Frijns, Nick Heidfeld, Oliver Turvey and Jean-Eric Vergne against each other on a virtual version of the venue for the fifth round of the 2015/2016 season.

There will be two six minute races, with the reverse of the championship standings to decide the starting order for the first race, and a reverse of the finishing order deciding the grid for the second race.

One lucky fan will also get the opportunity to go wheel-to-wheel against some of the world’s best racing drivers, and will start the first race from pole position.

Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag said:

“This is the first time in history that so many drivers from one championship have been put together in a simulated race. This once again shows how committed Formula E is to finding new ways to increase fan access by giving them even more ways to watch their heroes in action – and for one lucky person to actually be a part of the event! We know what the competitive order is on track, but it will be fascinating to see how this translates to the world of sim racing.”
