22 gennaio 2016. La pista di Norisring a Norimberga non sarà lo scenario dell’ePrix tedesco che vede rivalutare le città di  Berlino e Monaco di Baviera.

L’ ePrix tedesco è rimasto un tema caldo nelle ultime settimane, con una scadenza iniziale per la conferma il 15 gennaio per decidere la location della manifestazione.

Tuttavia, una decisione non è stata raggiunta entro questa data, ma al momento è stato detto ufficialmente che la gara della Germania non verrà fatta nel circuito stradale del Norisring che ospita gare del DTM.

La dichiarazione ufficiale

“L’unico circuito stradale della Germania che ha catturato l’attenzione dei dirigenti FIA Formula E, alla ricerca di destinazioni alternative all’aeroporto di Berlino-Tempelhof, non è disponibile per l’uso. Dopo settimane di negoziati con l’Agenzia IKmedia Schwabacher, è stata fatta la scelta di non correre a Norimberga.

“Saremmo, naturalmente, molto lieti di portare la Formula E nel 2016 a Norimberga ed abbiamo avuto recentemente conversazioni al riguardo ma con la consapevolezza che c’è molto lavoro da fare,” disse Oliver Schielein, direttore della comunicazione Agenzia di marketing IKmedia.

Formula E non ha raggiunto nessun accordo riguardo la location dove si svolgerà la gara e questo ha causato il ritiro di Norisring dei negoziati per ospitare la gara di quest’anno.

Questo significa che Monaco e Berlino sono le due ultime città candidate per ospitare il ePrix tedesco il 21 maggio. Una possibile location a Berlino potrebbe essere intorno allo Stadio Olimpico, mentre non sono state rese note alcune possibili location a Monaco di Baviera.

Ci si aspetta un annuncio nei prossimi giorni prima della fine del mese considerando che c’è bisogno di avviare i preparativi per portare la manifestazione.

Norisring Out of the Running for German ePrix

January 22, 2016. The Norisring track in Nuremberg will not host the German ePrix which leaves the possible location of the ePrix down to two locations, Munich and Berlin.

The German ePrix location has been a hot topic for the past couple of weeks, with an initial deadline being set of the 15th January to decide the location of the event.

However, a decision was not reached by the end of the day about where the race will be held in Germany, but the Norisring who have their own street circuit which hosts DTM races has officially ruled themselves out of the running.

An official statement read.

“The unique street circuit caught the attention of the FIA Formula E executives, who were looking for alternative destinations in Germany, as the Berlin-Tempelhof Airport was not available for use. After weeks of negotiations with the Schwabacher Agency IKmedia, the decision has been made not to come to Nuremberg.

“We could, of course, been very pleased to welcome the Formula E in 2016 in Nuremberg, and have recently put in the possible implementation on the ground a lot of work,” said Oliver Schielein, manager of communications and marketing agency IKmedia.

Formula E did not come to an agreement with any location today about where the race will take place, and this has caused the Norisring to pull out of negotiations to host the race this year.

This means that Munich and Berlin are the final two candidates known to host the German ePrix on the 21st May. One possible location in Berlin will be around the Olympic Stadium, but no possible locations for a track in Munich have been released.

It is expected that an announcement should come before the end of the month as they need to begin preparations of bringing the event together.
