Il concetto futuristico degli interni dello showcar Budd-e, che è stato presentato alla mostra CES di Las Vegas nel mese di gennaio, ha ricevuto il premio ‘Interior Design of the Year – Concept Vehicle’. Il premio è stato presentato in occasione della ‘Automotive Interiors Expo 2016’ a Stoccarda, dove sono onorati i migliori designer, le innovazioni ed i prodotti di tutto il mondo nel settore degli interni auto.

“Lo showcar del CES 2016 offre un affascinante spaccato di quello che Volkswagen può raggiungere in futuro. Su questa base, tutti noi dovremmo essere entusiasti della prossima generazione di tecnologie interne e gli sviluppi di Volkswagen”, ha detto Graham Johnson, spiegando la motivazione della giuria. Graham Johnson è Managing Director dell’organizzazione ed è responsabile per l’Automotive Interior Awards. La giuria dispone di un totale di 17 importanti giornalisti del motore e del design internazionale che hanno lanciato i loro voti in sei categorie.

All’inizio dell’anno, la Volkswagen ha mostrato un assaggio di quello che le future auto elettriche della marca Volkswagen possono assomigliare a Las Vegas con l’innovativo show car, la Budd-e. Che è caratteristica del concetto futuristico è l’operazione intuitiva del concetto operativo e l’aria di leggerezza che prevale all’interno. Dopo aver effettuato una gestualità per aprire la porta scorrevole, il conducente entra in un interno che è più evocativo di un salone che quello di una macchina. Ad esempio, se il passeggero vuole parlare con i passeggeri posteriori, egli o ella può ruotare il sedile intorno. Nella parte posteriore, due sedili convenzionali e una superficie disposta longitudinalmente sono installati su un tappeto morbido. Un grande formato di controllo da 34 pollici è integrato nella parete laterale della vettura Volkswagen.

The futuristic interior concept of the BUDD-e showcar, which was unveiled in the CES show in Las Vegas in January, received the ‘Interior Design of the Year – Concept Vehicle’ award. The award was presented at the ‘Automotive Interiors Expo 2016’ in Stuttgart where the world’s finest designers, innovations and products in the automotive interiors arena are honoured.

“The CES 2016 showcar offers a fascinating insight into what Volkswagen may achieve in future. On this basis, we should all be excited about next-generation of Volkswagen interior technologies and developments,” said Graham Johnson explaining the jury’s reasoning. Graham Johnson is Managing Director of the exhibition organisers and is responsible for the Automotive Interior Awards. The judging panel comprises a total of 17 international leading motor and design journalists who cast their votes in six categories.

At the beginning of the year, Volkswagen showed a glimpse of what future electric cars from the Volkswagen brand may look like at Las Vegas with the innovative show car, the BUDD-e. What is characteristic of the futuristic concept is the intuitive operation of the instrument and operating concept and the air of lightness which prevails in the interior. After making a gesticulation to open the sliding door, the driver enters an interior which is more evocative of a lounge than a car. For example, if the front passenger wants to talk to the rear passengers, he or she can swivel the seat around. In the rear, two conventional seats and one seat surface placed lengthwise are installed on a soft carpet. A large format 34-inch monitor is also integrated in the side wall of the Volkswagen car.
