  • Francese #1: Stephane Sarrazin vuole ripetere i buoni risultati dell’anno scorso

Commenta Gildo Pallanca Pastor.

Team Venturi with two local heroes in Paris

  • Frenchman #1: Stephane Sarrazin wants to repeat the good result he secured last year
  • Frenchman #2: Tom Dillmann replaces impeded regular Maro Engel
  • Circuit around the ‘Les Invalides’ complex the shortest on the Formula E calendar

Just a week after the season highlight, Monaco, the FIA Formula E Championship is going to contest the next round of its season: in the French capital, Paris, the innovative e-power single-seater series will finish the first half of its 2016 / 2017 season. In the ‘City of Love’, the Venturi Formula E team will be represented as an exception by two Frenchmen: Venturi regular Stephane Sarrazin will be joined by Tom Dillmann who replaces Maro Engel. The German can’t contest the French round due to scheduling conflicts with his duties in the DTM f or Mercedes.

For us, as French-speaking team, the race in Paris represents another major highlight on the Formula E calendar,

says team owner Gildo Pallanca Pastor.

Following the good results we secured in Monaco we want to tie in with these successes by also delivering in Paris. And with two experienced drivers representing our colours I am convinced that we will succeed in doing so.”

Highly motivated in the run-up to the home race: Sarrazin and Dillmann

Sarrazin travels with fond memories to Paris.

For me as Frenchman it’s particularly great to have the opportunity to contest races in the most beautiful city of the world,

he says.

The track layout is fantastic and suits my style of driving really well. In 2016 I was able to secure a good result by finishing fifth. And I hope that I will be able to once again secure a top result, this year.

His compatriot Dillmann understandably is excited, prior to his Formula E race debut.

I already had the chance of helping out as reserve driver in the shakedown in Mexico,

he says.

This proved to be exciting and now I massively am looking forward to my first full race weekend. It’s my goal to deliver for the Venturi team.
