Buenos Aires, Argentina. 3 Febbraio 2016. Il Buenos Aires ePrix si svolgerà sabato 6 febbraio 2016, con inizio della gara alle 16.00 ora locale. Il NEXTEV TCR e Nelson Piquet Jr saranno in competizione per la seconda volta sulle strade argentine, dopo aver segnato un podio nella gara della scorsa stagione, e Oliver Turvey farà il suo debutto in pista.

Nelson Piquet Jr:

“La pista di Buenos Aires è una pista davvero divertente per correre e abbiamo segnato un podio qui l’anno scorso. Ovviamente stiamo avendo una stagione difficile quindi questa gara sarà un’altra sfida per noi, ma ci sarà una dura lotta per i punti”.

Oliver Turvey:

“A Punta del Este ho passato un po’ di tempo con gli ingegneri al simulatore per preparare la mia prima gara di Buenos Aires. La pista sembra veloce con alcuni lunghi rettilinei e grandi zone di frenata, quindi sono entusiasta di correre su questa pista. Il team ha lavorato duramente dall’ultima gara e mi sento ben preparato in modo di puntare a fare dei passi avanti insieme”.

Steven Lu, Team Principal, NEXTEV TCR:

“Sono contento di tornare a Buenos Aires per la seconda stagione. Eravamo molto vicini ad arrivare nei punti a Punta del Este, e il test di Domenica è stato molto incoraggiante. Abbiamo lavorato su alcuni aggiornamenti nel corso dell’ultimo mese e ci aspettiamo dei miglioramenti a Buenos Aires. Abbiamo un nuovo impianto di simulazione per i nostri piloti e credo che aiuterà molto per preparare il prossimo fine settimana. E’ il capodanno cinese subito dopo la gara dell’Argentina e spero che l’Anno della Scimmia possa portare un po’ di fortuna alla squadra”.

“Siamo lieti di compiere ulteriori progressi sul nostro set-up per le qualifiche e la gara in Argentina. Abbiamo lavorato molto duramente con il nostro nuovo driver nel simulatore Loop quando siamo ritornati in Europa, con i piloti e gli ingegneri di pista che hanno la possibilità di lavorare insieme per testare e ottimizzare le proprie strategie di set-up. Se siamo in grado di fare dei giri senza errori in qualifica sono fiducioso di essere nella top ten della griglia di partenza”.

NEXTEV TCR Formula E Team: Buenos Aires ePrix – The E Files

Buenos Aires, Argentina. 3 Febbraio 2016. The Buenos Aires ePrix will take place on Saturday 6 February 2016, with the race beginning at 16.00hrs local time. NEXTEV TCR’s Nelson Piquet Jr will be competing on the Argentinean streets for the second time, after scoring a podium at the race last season, and Oliver Turvey will make his debut at the track.

Nelson Piquet Jr:

“The track in Buenos Aires is a really fun track to race on and we scored a podium here last year. Obviously we are having a tough season so this race will be another challenge for us but we will be fighting hard for points.”

Oliver Turvey:

“Since Punta del Este I have spent some time with the engineers on the simulator to prepare for my first race in Buenos Aires. The track seems fast with some long straights and big braking zones, so I’m excited to race on this track. The team has been working hard since the last race and I feel well prepared so we’re aiming to make some steps forward together.”

Steven Lu, Team Principal, NEXTEV TCR:

“I am glad be visiting Buenos Aires again for the second season. We were very close to scoring more points in Punta del Este, and the test on Sunday was very encouraging. We have been working on a few updates in the last month and we are expecting some improvements in Buenos Aires. We have a new simulation facility for our drivers and I believe that will help a lot to prepare for the coming weekend. It is Chinese New Year right after the race in Argentina and I hope the Year of Monkey can bring some luck to the team.”

Martin Leach, President, NEXTEV:

“We are looking forward to making further progress on our car set-up for qualifying and the race in Argentina. We have been working very hard with our new Driver in the Loop simulator back in Europe, with drivers and race engineers having the chance to work together to test and optimise their set-up strategies. If we can deliver fault-free running in qualifying then I am hopeful for top ten grid starts.”
