Ford all’electric challenge del Shelsley Walsh

Shelsley Walsh, Gran Bretagna. 24 Maggio 2017. Ford ha confermato di partecipare alla sfida dell’automobile elettrica che si svolgerà il 3 e 4 giugno presso la Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb.

Trevor Willis, campione del British Hill Climb Hill 2012 e attuale leader del campionato di quest’anno, farà guidare la nuova Ford Focus Electric in questa classe appena creata per l’evento di salita del British Racing Midland Automobile Club.

Il Midland Automobile Club ha invitato tutti i produttori di automobili ad entrare in una varietà di classi con la classe elettrica come obiettivo principale, in quanto il luogo sembra creare una nuova storia nella gara di 112 anni di antichità.

Ford entrerà con la loro nuova Focus Electric, una hatchback a cinque porte a emissioni zero, che può viaggiare fino a 225 km (140 miglia) con una sola carica della batteria ed è alimentata da un motore elettrico da 145 CV (107 kW) e da una batteria da 33,5 chilowattora. Sia la batteria che il motore sono raffreddati a liquido e riscaldati aiutando la nuova Ford Focus Electric a risparmiare energia e prolungando la durata della batteria

Mark Constanduros, responsabile commerciale di Shelsley Walsh ha commentato: “Abbiamo avuto molto interesse per questa nuova classe ed è meraviglioso vedere Ford entrare con la loro nuova Focus Electric e avere l’attuale leader di questo campionato britannico Trevor Willis come loro Driver è un vero colpo! ”

“Questo aspetto dell’evento è nuovo per noi e vorremmo costruirne altri nei prossimi anni, dando ai produttori uno scenario per promuovere i propri prodotti in un ambiente vivo davanti ai potenziali clienti”.

British Racing Green si terrà il 3 e 4 giugno per festeggiare tutte le cose britanniche, sia le competizioni convenzionali e quelle verdi ed evoca lo spirito di British Racing Green, con la potenza elettrica che è la forma più verde e più veloce attualmente in sviluppo.

Ford takes up the electric challenge at Shelsley Walsh

Shelsley Walsh, UK. 24th May 2017. Ford have confirmed they are taking part in the electric car challenge taking place on the 3rd and 4th June at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb.

Trevor Willis, 2012 British Hill Climb Champion and current leader of this years championship will be driving the new Ford Focus Electric in this newly created class for The Midland Automobile Club’s British Racing Green hill climb event.

The Midland Automobile Club invited all the car manufacturers to enter a variety of classes with the electric class being the main focus, as the venue looks to create some new history at the 112 year old venue.

Ford will be entering their brand new Focus Electric a zero-emission 5-door hatchback which can travel up to 225 km (140 miles) on a single battery charge and is powered by a 145 PS (107 kW) electric motor, and a 33.5 kilowatt-hour battery. Both the battery and motor are liquid-cooled and -heated, helping the new Ford Focus Electric be more energy-efficient and extending the battery lifespan
