Parigi, Francia. 26 Novembre 2015.

Paris, France. November 26, 2015. We know that everyone’s talking about the Paris Climate Conference COP21 at the moment, but with good reason. See for yourself: 148 countries, plus the European Union, have submitted plans pledging to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions over the next fifteen years. That represents no less than 87 % of global emissions! But to do that, they will need political courage and pioneering spirit, concrete actions and technological solutions.

Our two pilots, Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, will be actively engaged in all major events of the conference, along with key decision makers. They will promote how the clean technologies on board Solar Impulse can improve energy production and efficiency on Earth. Their agenda includes, among other events, the Opening of COP21 on November 30th, Action Day on December 5th, and UNEP’s Sustainable Innovation Forum on the 7th and 8th of December. Serious business.

A small Solar Impulse media team will furthermore be embedded with our pilots to report from the inside about our daily activities, what we learned, who we met, and to list all the cool solutions we’ll have heard of during the two weeks.

And that’s where you come in! During the past month, we have been gathering, via our Future is Clean campaign, the best solutions from over 300 organizations, corporations and Future is Clean initiators to tackle climate change. We need your help now more than ever to pick the best and most concrete ones on futureisclean.org/solutions. Votes will end on December 4th and the top solutions will be taken by our pilots to the most impactful sessions of the international gathering.

That’s why we’re going to Paris. And we’ll be equipped with all the motivation and ideas we’ve got. Bring it on COP21!
