DS Virgin Racing si prepara per elettrificare Parigi

Parigi, Francia. 17 Maggio 2017. La DS Virgin Racing è pronta a scuotere le cose al Paris ePrix, il 6 ° round del FIA Formula E Championship 2016/2017, e sfruttare appieno la velocità che sono in grado di raggiungere.

Nel primo weekend di gara a distanza di una settimana della precedente nella storia della Formula E, la squadra arriva nelle Città Luce pochi giorni dopo il Monaco ePrix. La squadra si è raggruppata dopo la gara a Monaco e ora si concentra completamente su Parigi, con i piloti che volano direttamente a Satory per le sessioni del simulatore in preparazione alla gara di sabato.

Il Paris ePrix è composto da 49 giri del circuito di 14 curve e da 1,93 km attorno a Les Invalides. I piloti raggiungeranno una velocità massima di 190 km/h nella prima curva e una velocità minima di 40 km/h nella curva 7.

L’anno scorso il Paris ePrix ha visto buoni risultati per la squadra con un pilota sul podio e la pole position. Il team cercherà di rientrare nuovamente sul podio quest’anno in una gara che certamente attirerà un enorme numero di tifosi. I piloti parteciperanno anche a eventi multimediali supplementari come una ulteriore sessione di autografi venerdì a causa delle folle che hanno partecipato lo scorso anno.

Il Paris ePrix è una gara di casa per il DS che accoglie tutti i suoi ospiti nel loro stand nel eVillage dove presenterà le DS E-Tense, DSV-02 Formula E e DS 7 CROSSBACK. DS hanno organizzato anche una sfilata per le strade di Parigi mercoledì 17 maggio dalle 14:00 alle 15:30 ora locale.

Parlando prima del Paris ePrix, Sam Bird ha commentato:

“È stato bello fare il giro più veloce a Monaco, ma poteva essere stato molto meglio. E’ importante per noi non soffermarsi su questo risultato e passare alla prossima gara. Ho avuto la pole position a Parigi l’anno scorso e se tutto si incontra, andremo sul podio “.

Jose Maria Lopez ha dichiarato:

“Dobbiamo fare un buon risultato. Ci stiamo preparando sodo per l’ePrix di Parigi e stiamo imparando costantemente come squadra. Non vedo l’ora di correre la mia prima gara di Formula E a Parigi e spero che possiamo ottenere dei buoni punti “.

Alex Tai ha commentato:

“La squadra si sta preparando duramente per il Paris ePrix. È fantastico per i tifosi che abbiamo due corse così vicine tra loro perché mantiene l’attenzione della serie in corso. E’ anche un’opportunità per la squadra di ottenere i punti che siamo stati così vicino da raggiungere dopo un frustrante risultato a Monaco “.

Xavier Mestelan Pinon ha aggiunto:

“Naturalmente, è particolarmente emozionante per l’intera squadra di DS di poter mostrare il nostro know-how e la tecnologia nel cuore di Parigi, il luogo di nascita del marchio. Anche se questa gara ha un significato particolare, il nostro approccio rigoroso e determinato ai preparativi è lo stesso che per le altre gare. E posso dire che siamo più che mai pronti a raggiungere un buon risultato con la nostra formula DSV-02 “

Paris, France. 17th May 2017. DS Virgin Racing are ready to shake things up at the Paris ePrix, the 6th round of the 2016/2017 FIA Formula E Championship, and take full advantage of the speed they are capable of.

In the first ever back to back race weekend in Formula E history, the team arrive in The City of Light just days after the Monaco ePrix.  The team have regrouped from the race in Monaco and are now fully focused on Paris, with the drivers flying straight to Satory for simulator sessions in preparation for Saturday’s race.

The Paris ePrix consists of 49 laps of the 14 turn 1.93km circuit around Les Invalides.  The drivers will reach a top speed of 190 km/h at turn 1 and a minimum speed of 40km/h at turn 7.

Last year’s Paris ePrix saw good results for the team with a podium finish and pole position.  The team will be looking for a podium finish again this year in a race that will certainly draw in a huge number of fans.  The drivers will also be taking part in extra media events such as an additional autograph session on Friday due to the sell-out crowds last year.

The Paris ePrix is a home race for DS who welcome everyone to their stand in the eVillage which will showcase the DS E-Tense, DSV-02 Formula E and DS 7 CROSSBACK. DS have also organised a parade through the streets of Paris on Wednesday 17th May from 14:00 – 15:30 local time.

Speaking ahead of the Paris ePrix, Sam Bird commented:

“It was good to get fastest lap in Monaco but it should have been a lot better. It’s important for us not to dwell on this result and move on to the next race. I had pole position in Paris last year and if everything comes together we’ll get on the podium”.

Jose Maria Lopez said:

“We are due a good result.  We have been preparing hard for the Paris ePrix and are constantly learning as a team.  I’m looking forward to my first Formula E race in Paris and hope we can get some good points”.

Alex Tai commented:

“The team are preparing hard for the Paris ePrix. It’s great for fans that we have two races so close to each other as it keeps the momentum of the series going.  It’s also an opportunity for the team to get the points we are capable of so close after a frustrating result in Monaco.”

Xavier Mestelan Pinon added:

“Naturally, it is particularly exciting for the whole DS team to be able to showcase our know-how and technology in the heart of Paris, the brand’s birthplace. Although this race has particular significance, our rigorous, determined approach to preparations is the same as for the other races. And I can say we are more than ever ready to achieve a good result with our DSV-02 Formula E.”
