Monaco. 3 Giugno 2017. Il francese sotto contratto con Venturi per l’attuale stagione sarà lasciato libero per il resto della stagione per andare a correre al team Techeetah. Il sedile presso il team cliente Renault è diventato disponibile quando il suo pilota Esteban Gutierrez è stato chiamato per sostituire il pilota IndyCar ferito Sebastien Bourdais.

Come risultato dei negoziati dell’ultimo minuto, Venturi ha convenuto con Stephane Sarrazin di concludere la stagione in corso con la squadra dotata del powertrain Renault. Sarrazin è stato un pilota Venturi dalla stagione di esordio della Formula E.

La conseguenza di questi cambiamento di piloti ha dato la chance a Tom Dillmann di correre per la Venturi. Nella sua gara di debutto in Formula E a Parigi il mese scorso, il francese ha mostrato un ottimo stile finendo nell’ottavo posto e segnando importanti punti del campionato per la squadra.

“Una soluzione positiva per tutti coloro che sono coinvolti”, ha detto il Team Principal Venturi Gildo Pallanca Pastor. “Con la sua esperienza, Stephane sarà benvenuto in Techeetah e allo stesso tempo, la stagione offrirà a Tom la possibilità di raccogliere altre esperienze importanti, con Venturi. Ciò significa che tutti i tre piloti collegati a Venturi, Maro Engel, Stephane Sarrazin e Tom Dillmann correranno i prossimi round di campionato a Berlino, New York e Montreal”.

Monaco, 3rd June 2017. The Frenchman with a legal Venturi deal for the current season will be released for the rest of the season to race for Techeetah. The race seat at the Renault customer team became available as their driver Esteban Gutierrez replaces the injured IndyCar driver Sebastien Bourdais.

As a result of last minute negotiations, Venturi agreed on Stephane Sarrazin to finish the running Season 3 with the Renault customer team. Sarrazin has been a Venturi driver since the Formula E debut season.

Consequence of these driver switches is Tom Dillmann’s next chance at Venturi. In his Formula E debut race in Paris last month, the Frenchman delivered in fine style to finish eighth and scored important championship points for the team.

“A positive solution for all those involved,” said Venturi Team Principal Gildo Pallanca Pastor. “With his experience, Stephane will be embraced by Techeetah and at the same time, the season will offer Tom the chance of gathering further important experiences, with Venturi. This means that all the three Venturi joint drivers, Maro Engel, Stephane Sarrazin and Tom Dillmann will contest the coming championship rounds in Berlin, New York and Montreal.
