The alliance NOGEBUS and QEV Technologies presented the first Hydrogen Intercity Bus project in Spain to the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.

They received the institutional visit of El Cabildo de Gran Canaria last December. The purpose of the visit was to learn first-hand about the project proposed by the strategic alliance between the two companies. It is an innovative project that provides a new sustainable mobility solution based on the hydrogen fuel cell: a class II intercity bus. Both Spanish companies are developing the prototype which is expected to be on the streets in 2022.

Il primo progetto di autobus interurbano a idrogeno in Spagna al Cabildo de Gran CanariaQEV Technologies is backed by a long and solid track record in the sustainable mobility sector after more than 20 years of betting on electric vehicles and a decade of manufacturing electric sports vehicles with cutting-edge technology. In the last 5 years, QEV Mobility’s strong commitment has been opening the doors to the development and implementation of these technologies in South America, Europe, and Asia, bringing cutting-edge technology from the competition world to the public transport user.

For its part, NOGEBUS has launched a new vehicle this year, the TITANIUM+, which has had a high impact. In addition, the company continues to work on substantial improvements to the different ranges of existing vehicles with the firm intention of making the bus the first choice of journeys between municipalities for passengers. The implementation of the hydrogen fuel cell for intercity road travel will be key to the decarbonisation of class II vehicles.
