Noi sappiamo quanto siamo forti.

Doppia programmazione: Formula E e DTM

ABT competes in the heart of Paris with Formula E

Title fight in Formula E goes to the next round

It is one of the absolute highlights of the season: On Saturday (20 May), Formula E will hold a race in the heart of Paris. The track overlooking the Eiffel Tower leads around the famous Dôme des Invalides. ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport and Lucas di Grassi head to the French capital in hot pursuit, having last year provided a sensational victory at the premiere.

In the third season, Sébastien Buemi and Lucas di Grassi are the protagonists of the electro racing series title fight once again. With four victories, the Swiss from the Renault factory team leads the table, followed by the Brazilian with one victory and three podiums. Last year, di Grassi managed to steal the show at the Renault home round by winning the race. And this year?

Our aim is always to fight for a place on the podium and, if possible, the biggest trophy as well,

says di Grassi.

We had a really quick car in Monaco, with which we definitely could have won. Unfortunately, there was no chance to attack all the way up to the finish line.

The memories from the victory and above all the special atmosphere from last year are still fresh in the mind:

The event in the heart of the city is gigantic. Last time out I even saw so many people waving from their living rooms on my cool-down lap, that’s how close we are to the fans.

Daniel Abt can sum up his expectations very quickly.

Just not seventh place,

the German laughs. Abt has occupied this position for the last three races, having always showed strong performances and fight-backs.

We know our strength. Our full concentration is going on qualifying for a good starting position, from then on anything is possible here.

The weather could play a role in Paris. The meteorologists predict changing conditions ahead, even cooler temperatures and perhaps also rain. Formula E has still not held a wet race in its two-and-a-half-year history.

It starts on Saturday (20 May) at 4 p.m. local time. The race on the 1.920-kilometre circuit will take place over 49 laps. Prior to this, free practice, qualifying and the Super Pole for the five fastest drivers are carried out within a few hours.

DMAX broadcasts live from Paris with Jacques Schulz
Since the race in Monaco, Formula E fans in Germany can enjoy an even more comprehensive broadcast: DMAX has taken over the coverage from Eurosport and will broadcast live for 90 minutes. It begins at 3.45 p.m. Jacques Schulz will once again commentate in the sixth round of the season. German motorsport fans know Schulz already from earlier Formula 1 broadcasts. In addition, Eurosport shows a repeat of the race at 5.30 p.m. and the highlights again at 10.05 p.m.

Double Entry: Formula E and DTM
Double entry for ABT Sportsline: While the Formula E team competes in Paris, the DTM crew will take on the third and fourth race of the season at the Lausitzring. Team principal Hans-Jürgen Abt will take care of the proceedings in Paris, whilst his sports director Thomas Biermaier will be in charge of the DTM entry. Naturally, there will be a live broadcast of each as well as a constant flow of information over WhatsApp in both directions.

Family photo in front of the Eiffel Tower
Only in Paris: The Formula E electric cars pose for a family photo in front of the Eifel Tower. In order to implement this unique motif undisturbed as well as with the best lighting, teams and organizers had to forgo a lot of sleep: the meeting place was the paddock at 3.30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
But it was worth the effort.
