Motecarlo, Principato di Monaco. 5 Gennaio 2017. Venturi Formula E Team, concorrente nel campionato di vetture elettriche, ristruttura i suoi dipartimenti di marketing e comunicazione. In futuro, il pilota professionista Ellen Lohr sarà responsabile della commercializzazione della squadra basata a Monaco e Birgitt Dietel per le comunicazioni. Mentre Michael Kiilerich assume la direzione commerciale.

Il trio sostituisce Jim Wright che ha lavorato dal 2014 per la squadra corse nell’innovativa serie di veicoli elettrici.

“Ringraziamo Jim Wright per la collaborazione di successo”, ha detto Gildo Pallanca Pastor, Proprietario del Team Venturi Formula E. “Nel periodo di allestimento e le prime due stagioni è stato una parte importante della nostra squadra.”

Pastor si aspetta che la ristrutturazione renda molti impulsi positivi e nuovi.

“Con il crescente interesse del pubblico nel FIA Formula E Championship in generale, e il crescente numero di nostri partner, aumentare i nostri sforzi di marketing e comunicazione è di grande importanza. Con Ellen Lohr, Birgitt Dietel e Michael Kiilerich ora possiamo fare affidamento sui servizi di una grande squadra e ci sentiamo ben preparati per le cose a venire”.

Ellen Lohr è tutt’altro che un volto sconosciuto nel mondo delle corse automobilistiche. Fino ad oggi, la pilotessa Mercedes è rimasta l’unica pilota femminile ad aver vinto una gara del DTM. Dopo il suo ritiro dalle corse del DTM ha gareggiato – tra l’altro – nel Campionato Europeo Truck, e nei Rally Marathon.

“Ho seguito la Formula E fin dall’inizio e sono orgogliosa di aver avuto l’opportunità di lavorare per Venturi GP in questa serie rivoluzionaria”, ha detto Lohr.

Birgitt Dietel ha anche avuto un bel pò di esperienza nelle corse automobilistiche come responsabile per le comunicazioni di una squadra del Campionato Europeo Truck, negli ultimi cinque anni.

Nel frattempo, il danese Michael Kiilerich possiede 15 anni di esperienza come direttore di società internazionali.

“Non vedo l’ora di affrontare questa sfida e vedere come la mobilità elettrica cambierà il mondo e la Formula E sta per accelerare questo sviluppo”, ha sottolineato Kiilerich.

Riguardo Venturi Formula E Team

Il Team Venturi ha sede a Monaco ed è il brand delle corse automobilistiche del fornitore auto Venturi. Il titolare dell’azienda Gildo Pallanca Pastor può essere considerato visionario quando si tratta di mobilità elettrica.

Nel 2000 ha assunto la gestione di Venturi Parigi S.A. ed ha trasformato l’azienda da un costruttore di automobili di piccola serie in un fornitore di powertrain innovativi.

Tra l’altro, Venturi è stato responsabile dell’installazione a posteriori di azionamenti elettrici in vetture di produzione. Co-proprietario di Venturi GP è l’imprenditore tedesco Marc Gindorf che si è fatto un nome di se stesso nel DTM ed al leggendario Nordschleife.

Nella prima stagione di Formula E, il GP Venturi era rappresentato sulla griglia di partenza di Nick Heidfeld e Stéphane Sarrazin.

Quest’ultimo ha collaborato nel 2015/2016 con l’ex campione del mondo di F1 Jacques Villeneuve e il britannico Mike Conway. Nella stagione in corso, Sarrazin, ancora una volta corre per il team monegasco, con Maro Engel che risiede a Monaco ad essere il suo nuovo compagno di squadra, per la stagione 2016/2017.

Venturi Formula E Team augments the areas marketing and communications

Monaco, 5th January 2017. Venturi Formula E Team, competitor in Electric Championship, restructures its marketing and communication departments.

In the future, professional racing driver Ellen Lohr will be responsible for the marketing of the Monaco based squad and Birgitt Dietel for the communications. While Michael Kiilerich takes over the commercial management.

The trio replaces Jim Wright who has been working since 2014 for the team racing in the innovative electric-vehicle series.

“We thank Jim Wright for the successful cooperation,” said Gildo Pallanca Pastor, Venturi Formula E team owner.

“In the build-up period and the first two seasons he was an important part of our team.” Pastor expects the re-structuring to make for many positive and new impulses. “With the increasing public interest in the Formula E Championship in general and the increasing number of our partners, boosting our marketing and communication efforts is of major importance. With Ellen Lohr, Birgitt Dietel and Michael Kiilerich we now can rely on the services of a great team and feel well prepared for the things to come.”

Ellen Lohr is anything but an unknown face in the motor-racing world. Until today, the Mercedes works driver has remained the only female driver to have won a DTM race. After her retirement from touring-car racing she competed – inter alia – in European Truck Championship, and in marathon rallying.

“I have followed Formula E right from the beginning and I’m proud of having been offered the opportunity to work for Venturi GP in this revolutionary series,” said Lohr.

Birgitt Dietel also has got quite a lot of motor-racing experience as she was responsible for the communications of a European Truck Championship team, in the past five years.

Meanwhile, Denmark’s Michael Kiilerich even can hark back to 15 years of experience as manager of international companies.

“I’m looking forward to this challenge as the electric mobility will change the world and Formula E is going to accelerate this development,” Kiilerich underlined.

On Venturi Formula E Team

Team Venturi is based in Monaco and the motor-racing branch of the car supplier Venturi. Company owner Gildo Pallanca Pastor can be regarded as visionary when it comes to electric mobility. In 2000 he took over the management of Venturi Paris S.A. and turned the company from a small-batch car manufacturer into a supplier of innovative drive shafts.  Inter alia, Venturi was responsible for the retrofitting of production cars for the French post to electric drive. Co-owner of Venturi GP is German entrepreneur Marc Gindorf who made a name for himself in DTM and at the legendary Nordschleife.

In the Formula E debut season, the Venturi GP was represented on the grid by Nick Heidfeld and Stéphane Sarrazin. The latter was teamed up in 2015 / 2016 with former F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve and Briton Mike Conway. In the current season, Sarrazin once again will race for the Monegasque team, with Maro Engel who resides in Monaco being his new team-mate, for the 2016 / 2017 winter season.
