Donington Park, Gran Bretagna. 5 Settembre 2016. Il primo giorno dei test finali pre-campionato a Donington si è concluso con Jean-Eric Vergne nella sua Techeetah in cima alla lista dei tempi con un 1: 29: 640. Vergne era appena sei millesimi sopra il suo record sul giro del primo giorno di test della sessione precedente.

La sessione di oggi è stata interrotta da diverse bandiere rosse causate dai detriti delle vetture MS Amlin Andretti e la Faraday Future Dragon Racing, quando i driver stavano chiaramente spingendo forte su una pista umida all’inizio della giornata, anche se il sole ha fatto la sua comparsa durante la sessione pomeridiana.

Le due vetture Jaguar Racing di Adam Carroll e Mitch Evans hanno funzionato bene dopo alcuni stop durante la sessione in determinate fasi della giornata. I due piloti delle Renault e.dams e Jose-Maria Lopez con la DS Virgin Racing, hanno percorso il maggior numero di giri di chiunque altro, con 42 tornate ciascuno.

Lopez era anche primo nella sessione del mattino con un tempo sul giro di 1: 34: 501.

Three drivers break 1m30s as testing resumes at Donington

Donington Park, Gran Bretagna. 5th September 2016. Day one of the final pre-season test in Donington ended with Jean-Eric Vergne in his Techeetah top of the timing sheets with a 1:29:640. Vergne was just six thousands off his lap record from the first day of testing at the previous outing.

Today’s running was interrupted by multiple red flags caused by debris and from the MS Amlin Andretti and the Faraday Future Dragon Racing machines, as the drivers were clearly pushing hard around a damp track at the start of the day, although the sun made an appearance during the afternoon session.

The two Jaguar Racing cars of Adam Carroll and Mitch Evans ran well as they topped the timesheets at certain stages of the day. The two Renault e.dams drivers and Jose-Maria Lopez in the DS Virgin Racing cars, set the most laps of anyone with 42 each.

Lopez also topped the morning session with a lap time of 1:34:501.
