Syntus, società Keolis Group, ha confermato gli ordini per un totale di nove bus elettrici BYD da 12m da un piano per il servizio in due città olandesi.

Amersfoort, Paesi Bassi. 14 Aprile 2017. Gli autobus, ciascuno con tre porte, entreranno in servizio nel Dicembre 2017. Due forniranno servizi ad Amersfoort in virtù di un contratto esistente con Syntus e sette saranno in servizio una nuova concessione ad Almere. In entrambi i casi è la prima volta che verranno utilizzati bus elettrici puri per questi servizi.

L’ordine di Amersfoort richiede il contratto di servizio di sei anni, mentre ad Almere esiste un contratto di servizio di 10 anni.

In Almere due veicoli dimostrativi BYD forniranno un servizio da Aprile fino a quando i nuovi autobus saranno consegnati.

Cees Anker, Direttore Generale Syntus che ha firmato il contratto con BYD, ha dichiarato:

“Noi consideriamo come nostra responsabilità ridurre l’impatto ambientale e siamo lieti di operare con questi bus ad Amersfoort ed Almere. L’impiego di questi autobus elettrici si adatta alla strategia di Syntus come filiale di Keolis sulla mobilità sostenibile”.

Syntus orders BYD electric buses for service in Dutch cities

Syntus, a Keolis Group company, has confirmed orders for a total of nine BYD pure electric 12m single deck ebuses for service in two Dutch cities.

Amersfoort, Nederland. 14 April 2017. The buses, each with three doors, will enter service in December 2017. Two will provide services in Amersfoort under an existing Syntus contract and seven will service a new concession in Almere. In both cases it is the first time pure electric buses will have been operated.

The Amersfoort order calls for six-year service agreement while in Almere there is a 10-year service agreement.

In Almere two BYD demonstrator vehicles will provide service from April until the new buses are delivered.

Cees Anker, the Syntus General Manager who signed the contract with BYD, said:

“We consider it as our responsibility to reduce the environmental impact and we are proudthat we will operate these buses in Amersfoort and Almere. The deployment of these electric buses fits with the strategy of Syntus as a subsidiary of Keolis on sustainable mobility”.
