Berlino, Germania. 1° Giugno 2017. Alla presenza della cancelliere tedesco Angela Merkel e del premier cinese Li Keqiang, Daimler AG e il suo partner cinese BAIC Group hanno firmato oggi un accordo quadro sul rafforzamento ulteriore dela loro collaborazione strategica attraverso investimenti per i veicoli a nuova energia in Cina.
Hubertus Troska, membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione di Daimler AG, responsabile per la Grande Cina e Xu Heyi, presidente del gruppo BAIC hanno partecipato alla cerimonia di firma a Berlino. L’accordo quadro si concentrerà su due importanti investimenti.
Da parte di questo accordo di investimento, Daimler intende acquisire una quota di minoranza della Beijing Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (BJEV), una filiale del gruppo BAIC, al fine di rafforzare la collaborazione strategica con BAIC nel settore NEV.
Come altra parte dell’accordo quadro, gli investimenti verranno inoltre indirizzati nell’aggiornamento degli attuali impianti di produzione della loro joint venture Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. (BBAC), aprendo la strada per l’introduzione della produzione di veicoli New Energy.
“La localizzazione è la chiave per la crescita sostenibile di Daimler e il successo futuro in Cina. Stiamo intensificando la ricerca e lo sviluppo locali, nonché la produzione locale, per evidenziare le preferenze dei nostri clienti cinesi.
Hanno reso questo il più grande mercato mondiale per Mercedes-Benz e questo è soprattutto grazie alla forza della nostra cooperazione sino-tedesca con i partner locali “, ha dichiarato Hubertus Troska. “Quest’anno segna il 12° anno della nostra stretta collaborazione con BAIC e abbiamo approfondito la nostra collaborazione sino-tedesca continuando ad espanderci in nuove aree di business. L’accordo quadro sottoscritto oggi segnala un nuovo capitolo della nostra cooperazione in termini di veicoli a nuova energia. Come precursore nello sviluppo di veicoli a nuova energia in Cina, le vendite di autoveicoli elettrici di BAIC sono aumentate nell’industria domestica. Anche Daimler ha un’esperienza ricca di veicoli a nuova energia, che nel corso degli anni ha accumulato competenze tecniche avanzate.
Andando avanti, le due parti utilizzeranno questi rispettivi vantaggi in tecnologia New Energy Vehicle e nelle operazioni di mercato per ottenere una collaborazione vincente e reciprocamente vantaggiosa, in quanto entrambi ci sforziamo di diventare un punto di riferimento per la cooperazione strategica tra “Made in China 2025” e Germania “Industria 4.0”. “

Berlin, Germany. 1st June 2017. In the presence of German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Daimler AG and its Chinese partner BAIC Group today signed a framework agreement on further strengthening their strategic collaboration through investments for New Energy Vehicles in China.
Hubertus Troska, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG, responsible for Greater China, and Xu Heyi, Chairman of the BAIC Group attended the signing ceremony held in Berlin.
The framework agreement will center on two significant investments. As one part of this investment agreement, Daimler intends to acquire a minority share in Beijing Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (BJEV), a subsidiary of the BAIC Group, with the purpose of strengthening strategic collaboration with BAIC in the NEV sector.
As another part of the framework agreement, investment will also be placed in the upgrade of the current production facilities at their joint venture Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. (BBAC), paving the way for the introduction of New Energy Vehicle production.
“Localization is the key to Daimler’s sustainable growth and future success here in China. We have been intensifying local research and development, as well as local production, to highlight the preferences of our Chinese customers. They have made this the largest market worldwide for Mercedes-Benz, and this is especially thanks to the strength of our Sino-German cooperation with local partners,” said Hubertus Troska. “This year marks the 12th year of our close partnership with BAIC, and we have deepened our Sino-German collaboration by continuously expanding into new business areas. The framework agreement signed today marks a new chapter of our cooperation in terms of New Energy Vehicles. China today is already the world’s largest market for NEVs, and Daimler is committed to contributing to the further development of electric mobility in this country.”
