Hilversum, Paesi Bassi. 11 Gennaio 2017. I funzionari dell’azienda Connexxion di servizi pubblici, la filiale olandese di Transdev, e BYD Europa hanno partecipato oggi ad una cerimonia di firma a Hilversum, Paesi Bassi, di un contratto per la fornitura da parte di BYD di otto ebuses esclusivamente elettrici.

Gli ebuses entreranno in servizio nella città di Haarlem a partire da Settembre 2017. Ogni bus dovrebbe coprire 85-90,000km in un anno, con un enorme risparmio di emissioni di gas di scarico nocivi se confrontato con veicoli diesel (gli ebuses BYD non emettono gas di scarico). Oltre ad essere ad emissioni zero gli ebuses BYD sono molto più economici ed in grado di operare anche grazie al minor costo dell’energia elettrica.

L’accordo firmato oggi prevede il supporto in servizio dei bus da BYD per un periodo di 10 anni.

Questi sono i primi autobus elettrici ordinati da Connexxion per operare nella capitale del North-Holland, Haarlem. Connexxion è la prima azienda di trasporto pubblico nei Paesi Bassi a prendere un ruolo di primo piano nella transizione verso le zero emissioni del trasporto pubblico.

Dopo l’attuazione nella città di Eindhoven di una delle più grandi flotte a zero emissioni in Europa, la regione di Haarlem ora segue la stessa strada.

BYD è il leader mondiale nella fornitura di autobus elettrici, con più di 10.000 prodotti e in servizio in tutto il mondo.

Eric van Eijndhoven, Direttore dei trasporti pubblici Connexxion, ha dichiarato:

Questi autobus elettrici si sono già dimostrati validi, completando centinaia di milioni di passeggeri / chilometri intorno al mondo. Sappiamo che i nostri passeggeri e altri residenti potranno apprezzare questi bus elettrici silenziosi quando entrereanno in servizio”.

BYD wins Connexxion ebus order in the Netherlands

Hilversum, Netherland. 11th January 2017. Officials from Connexxion Public Transport, the Dutch subsidiary of Transdev, and BYD Europe today attended a signing ceremony in Hilversum, the Netherlands, of a contract for the supply by BYD of eight pure electric ebuses.

The ebuses will enter service in Haarlem city from September 2017.

Each bus is expected to cover 85-90,000km a year, with huge savings of emissions of harmful exhaust gases when compared with diesel-powered vehicles (BYD ebuses emit no pollution at all). As well as being emission free the BYD ebuses are much cheaper to operate too thanks to the lower cost of electrical energy.

The agreement signed today calls for the in-service support of the buses by BYD for a 10-year period.

These are the first all-electric buses to be ordered by Connexxion for service in the capital city of North-Holland, Haarlem. Connexxion is the first public transport company in the Netherlands to take a prominent role in the transition to zero emission public transport. After the implementation in the city of Eindhoven of the one of the biggest zero emission fleets in Europe, the Haarlem region is now following.

BYD is the world leader in the supply of full size electric buses, with more than 10,000 produced and in service worldwide.

These electric buses have already proven themselves, completing hundreds of millions of passengers/kilometres around the world.
