BYD aggiunge 20 vetture elettriche e6 alla flotta di Montevideo

Montevideo, Uruguay. 23 maggio 2017. Dopo la consegna della più grande flotta di e-taxi in Ecuador il mese scorso, BYD ha recentemente consegnato 20 unità del taxi elettrico e6 alla capitale dell’Uruguay. La flotta di taxi elettrici BYD è stata lanciata nel 2015, come iniziativa pionieristica del paese verso il trasporto pubblico elettrificato. La cerimonia di lancio di questa ultima è stata testimoniata dal Ministro dell’Industria, dell’Energia e delle Miniere, Ing. Carolina Cosse, dal Sindaco di Montevideo, Ing. Daniel Martinez e dal presidente dell’UTE, il dottor Gonzalo Casaravilla.

Il sindaco di Montevideo, Eng. Daniel Martinez ha parlato della BYD e6 ed ha espresso soddisfazione per la sua performance. Crede che “il trasporto elettrico è il futuro”.

Nell’ultimo Febbraio, è diventato il primo sindaco in America Latina ad avere un veicolo elettrico come auto ufficiale.

La BYD e6 è stata consegnata al sig. Martinez con un numero di targa riservato al primo funzionario della città – “SIM 1”.

Recentemente, ha annunciato l’aggiunta di 20 unità della e6 all’attuale flotta BYD della città.

BYD ha consegnato la prima flotta di e-taxi del paese nel 2015. La società UTE ha valutato il funzionamento del veicolo e il suo rapporto, che ha dimostrato che il costo operativo delle e6 è di 6-8 volte inferiore a quello di un tradizionale taxi a benzina. Il governo uruguaiano è molto favorevole al trasporto elettrificato. Per garantire lo sviluppo sostenibile del Paese, il governo offre aiuti potenziali e sovvenzioni senza precedenti: 60.000 USD di sovvenzione per una licenza di taxi elettrica pura, pari al 50% in meno rispetto ad un taxi convenzionale; i proprietari saranno altresì esenti dalla tassa di importazione del 23% sui veicoli; Così come una sovvenzione di 5.000 dollari per l’installazione del caricatore, per un importo massimo di 100.000 dollari in incentivi.

Data la grande importanza che l’Uruguay riserva allo sviluppo sostenibile, il paese mira a raggiungere un sostanziale sistema di trasporto a zero emissioni. Questa è un’ottima occasione per BYD di sviluppare il mercato uruguaiano e dare un buon contributo all’ambiente e alla qualità della vita della sua popolazione.

BYD adds 20 units of e6 to Montevideo’s pure electric taxi fleet

After the delivery of the largest e-taxi fleet in Ecuador last month, new energy technology company BYD has recently delivered 20 units of its pure electric e6 taxi to Uruguay’s capital city. The BYD pure electric taxi fleet was launched in 2015, as the country’s pioneering initiative towards electrified public transportation, The launch ceremony of this latest addition was witnessed by Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Eng. Carolina Cosse, the Mayor of Montevideo, Eng. Daniel Martinez and the President of UTE, Dr. Gonzalo Casaravilla.

The mayor of Montevideo, Eng. Daniel Martinez spoke highly of the BYD e6 and expressed satisfaction with its performance. He believes “ Electricfied Transportation is the Future”. Last Feburay, he became the first mayor in Latin America to have an electric vehicle as an official car. The BYD e6 was delivered to Mr. Martinez with a license plate number reserved for the city’s top official – “SIM 1”. Recently, he announced the addition of 20 units of the e6 to the city’s current BYD fleet.

BYD delivered the country’s first etaxi fleet in 2015. UTE company assessed on the vehicle’s operation and track record, which demonstrated that the e6 operational cost is 6-8 times lower than that of a traditional gasoline taxi. The Uruguayan government is very supportive of electrified transportation. To ensure the country’s sustainable development, the government offers unprecedented subsidies and advantages to potential buyers: 60,000 USD subsidy for a pure electric taxi license, which is 50% less as compared to a conventional taxi; owners will also be exempted of the 23% import tax on the vehicles; as well as a 5,000 USD subsidy for installing the charger, totaling up to 100,000 USD in incentives.

Given the great importance Uruguay places in sustainable development, the country aims at achieving a substantial zero emission transportation system. This is a very good opportunity for BYD to develop the Uruguayan market and make a sound contribution to the country’s environment and quality of life of its population.
