Uno degli artisti più famosi della Svezia esegue a sorpresa un concerto per promuovere la nuova linea di autobus elettrico

Su iniziativa Volvo, la città di Göteborg, hanno ospitato Seinabo Sey – uno degli artisti più popolari in Svezia – che recentemente ha eseguito a bordo dei nuovi autobus elettrici di Göteborg un concerto. Due video musicali sono stati pubblicati oggi. Sono stati registrati durante un concerto a sorpresa per gli ignari passeggeri. Lo scopo della campagna è quello di promuovere l’elettricità, una collaborazione unica che ha portato alla nuova linea di autobus elettrici.

Quest’estate, gli utenti dei trasporti pubblici a Göteborg, in Svezia, hanno avuto modo di sperimentare una nuova opzione di viaggio significativamente più silenzioso. La nuova linea 55 di autobus ha aperto il 15 giugno. Dispone di tre autobus completamente elettrici e sette autobus ibridi elettrici.
Pochi dei passeggeri che hanno viaggiano nel percorso del 7 settembre hanno sospettato quello che stava per succedere quando sono saliti sull’autobus e sono stati testimoni di una registrazione video di Silent Bus Sessions.
Il video del concerto autobus di Seinabo Sey sarà pubblicato oggi. Le canzoni sono versioni uniche dei suoi successi “Younger” e “Hard Time”, e sono stati eseguiti a cappella con un coro di supporto.
“Da tanto tempo ho voluto aver l’opportunità di cantare con i miei amici del Tensta Gospel Choir, ed è stato fantastico che finalmente sia successo. E’ stato un giorno speciale. I passeggeri non avevano idea di cosa sarebbe successo, e io ero un po’ nervosa di come avrebbero reagito”, dice Seinabo.
La campagna Silent Bus Sessions prosegue il Giovedi con il rilascio di video musicali da un nuovo artista.

The Silent Bus Sessions è stata prodotta per dimostrare come in silenzio i nuovi autobus elettrici hanno il livello di rumore così basso che concerti acustici e registrazioni video possono prendere posto a bordo.
La collaborazione unica che ha portato alla nuova linea di autobus elettrici è chiamata ElectriCity e include rappresentanti dell’industria, del mondo accademico e delle amministrazioni comunali e regionali.
“L’aumento dei livelli di rumorosità rappresentano un grave problema di salute nelle grandi città di tutto il mondo. Ecco perché siamo convinti che il trasporto pubblico elettrico nelle città sia la via da seguire. Ma la differenza può essere raggiunta solo se c’è collaborazione tra i costruttori dei veicoli, gli urbanisti, le aziende di trasporti pubblici, le imprese del settore energetico ed il mondo accademico. Questa collaborazione è la forza unica del progetto ElectriCity”, dice Niklas Gustafsson, Chief Sustainability Officer di Volvo Group.
La città di Göteborg è un altro partner del progetto.
“Questo dimostra come le forze creative si incontrano a Göteborg. Autobus elettrici silenziosi eliminano i rumori ed i gas di scarico e consentono alle persone di godere di musica e della creatività sul loro viaggio al lavoro o a scuola. La musica, la cultura e lo sviluppo tecnico sono tra i punti di forza di Göteborg ed è meraviglioso vedere cosa succede quando sono combinati insieme”, commenta Anneli Hulthén, presidente del consiglio comunale esecutivo, di Göteborg.
Chi è Seinabo Sey
La 24enne Seinabo Sey irrompe con il suo grande successo “Younger”, e da allora è in cima alle classifiche in Svezia e all’estero. L’anno scorso ha rilasciato una serie di nuove canzoni, tra cui “Hard Time” e “Poetic”, e ha avuto più di 100 milioni di visitatori a Spotify. Ha anche ricevuto il plauso internazionale. E’ stata ospite di Conan O’Brien e Later con Jools Holland.
Riguardo ElectriCity
ElectriCity è un progetto di collaborazione tra il mondo accademico, l’industria e il settore pubblico e mira a sviluppare, dimostrare e valutare i nuovi sistemi di trasporto pubblico sostenibili per il futuro. La sperimentazione e la valutazione del trasporto in autobus elettrico è una parte centrale di ElectriCity. Silenzioso, il trasporto pubblico ad emissioni zero può operare in luoghi dove il traffico è attualmente vietato. Questo apre nuove possibilità alla pianificazione urbana delle città.
I tre autobus elettrici sulla rotta funzionano con l’elettricità rinnovabile e sono a basso consumo energetico, silenziosi e completamente senza emissioni. Le batterie degli autobus vengono rapidamente ricaricate presso le fermate bus terminal. I passeggeri hanno accesso a bordo di wi-fi e strutture di ricarica telefonia mobile. La fermata dell’autobus su Lindholmen ha un terminale interno.
Oltre ai tre bus completamente elettrici, il percorso ha un numero di autobus ibridi elettrici che funzionano con l’elettricità per circa il 70% del percorso.
Oltre ai bus attuali, ElectriCity sviluppa e testa nuovi sistemi di fermata dei bus, i sistemi di gestione dei trasporti, concetti di sicurezza e di sistemi di approvvigionamento energetico.

At the initiative of Volvo, the City of Gothenburg and others, Seinabo Sey – one of Sweden’’s most popular artists – recently performed onboard one Gothenburg’s new electric buses. Two music videos are being released today. They were recorded during a surprise concert for unsuspecting passengers. The purpose of the campaign is to promote ElectriCity, a unique collaboration that resulted in the new electric bus route.

This summer, public transport users in Gothenburg, Sweden got to experience a new, significantly quieter travel option. The new bus route 55 opened on 15 June. It has three completely electric buses and seven electric hybrid buses.
Few of the passengers travelling the route on 7 September suspected what was in store when they boarded the bus and stepped right into a video recording of the Silent Bus Sessions.
The videos from Seinabo Sey’s bus concert will be released today. The songs are unique versions of her hits “Younger” and “Hard Time”, and were performed a cappella with a backing choir.
“I’ve wanted an opportunity to sing with my friends from the Tensta Gospel Choir for so long, and it was fantastic that it finally happened. It was a special day. The passengers had no idea what was going to happen, and I was a bit nervous about how they would react,” Seinabo says.
The Silent Bus Sessions campaign continues on Thursday with the release of music videos from a new artist.
Campaign for ElectriCity
The Silent Bus Sessions was produced to demonstrate how silent the new electric buses are – the noise level is so low that acoustic concerts and video recordings can take place onboard.
The unique collaboration that resulted in the new electric bus route is called ElectriCity and includes representatives from industry, academia and municipal and regional administrations.
“Rising noise levels represent a serious health problem in big cities around the world. That’s why we’re convinced that electric public transport in cities is the way forward. But a real difference can only be achieved if there is collaboration between vehicle manufacturers, urban planners, public transport, energy companies and academia. This collaboration is the unique strength of the ElectriCity project,” says Niklas Gustafsson, Chief Sustainability Officer, Volvo Group.
The City of Gothenburg is another partner in the project.
“This shows how creative forces meet in Gothenburg. Silent electric buses eliminate noise and exhaust gases and allow people to enjoy music and creativity on their way to work or school. Music, culture and technical development are among Gothenburg’s strengths, and it’s wonderful to see what happens when they’re combined together,” comments Anneli Hulthén, Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board, Gothenburg.

About ElectriCity
ElectriCity is a collaborative project between academia, industry and the public sector and is aimed at developing, demonstrating and evaluating new sustainable public transport systems for the future. Testing and evaluation of electric bus transport is a central part of ElectriCity. Silent, emission-free public transport can operate in places where traffic is currently banned. This opens up new possibilities for urban planning in towns and cities.
The three electric buses on the route run on renewable electricity and are energy-efficient, silent and completely emission-free. The buses’ batteries are quickly recharged at the terminal bus stops. Passengers have access to onboard wi-fi and phone charging facilities. The bus stop on Lindholmen has an indoor terminal.
Besides the three completely electric buses, the route has a number of electric hybrid buses that run on electricity for approximately 70% of the route.
In addition to the actual buses, ElectriCity develops and tests new bus stop systems, transport management systems, safety concepts and energy supply systems.
