Marcelo Padin was born in Rosario, Argentina, on December 15, 1963. He began to work early at the age of 15 years in the automotive field, on 1979, in the journalistic agency directed by Orlando Bueno. Contemporanily he continued with his studies in the Superior Commerce School in Rosario city. Aftre few months in the agency, he was part of the staff of "Ruta Libre" (Free Road), a broadcasting sport cars program. In these years, he collaborated for the first time in an international race, the Argentinian Formula One Gran Prix. At early's 80's, apart from continued with his studies and the broadcasting program, he signed an agreement to collaborate with a television program "Todo el Deporte" (All Sport), in the racing cars field, transmitted every Sunday evening; and also in the Rosario newspaper, where further than write about racing cars, also was responsible of the archives office. In these years, began to collaborate with a monthly magazine "Notimoto" about racing cars and motorcycles. At the end of 1984 he left the Orlando Bueno's agency and start the collaboration with Alberto Manera in the "Campeones del Volante" (Steering Wheel Champions), a broadcasting program in Rosario city. At the end of 1986 he had the first official contact with Corsa magazine, the most important Argentinian weekly magazine in the car racing field and early in 1997 he began to collaborate in the redaction, in Buenos Aires. In the year 1987 he follow 48 races in 52 week-ends, with only one with International promotion: the Rally of Argentina. In February of 1988 he had the first contact with "Campeones" (Champions) agency, signing the agreement to travel around Europe to follow the European Formula One season of Argentinian driver Oscar Larrauri, and other Argentinian drivers in different categories (Jorge Recalde in the World Championship of Rally, Victor Rosso in the German Formula Three Championship, Alejandro Pagani in the Italian Formula 2000 Championship and again Oscar Larrauri in the World Sport Prototypes Championship). He followed the Formula One races between 1988 and 1991 for different organizations. Between 1989 and 1991 he work at Monza in the Vega Editrice (Editions) offices. In 1992 he edited Auto Elettrica, his first magazine in Europe, about electric and alternative vehicles and since these years he continues in this field. Actually, further to be the Editor of Electric Motor News, he collaborates with Extraclub Nonsoloauto (Italy), Auto Moto Zurnals (Riga, Latvia) and Automundo (Florida, United States) in the serial production cars field. In June of the year 2001 he sign an agreement with the TV program "Motori a 360°" in Brescia, Italy and he direct the sport time about alternative vehicles, returning in the television after twenty years. Today he follows the Italian Electric Car Championship, the FIA Solar Cup and the German Solar Boats Championship and the most important European International Auto Shows.
