Tokyo, Giappone. October 8th, 2015. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) svelerà la Mitsubishi eX Concept, un concept SUV compatto, con un sistema EV di prossima generazione al 44° Motor Show di Tokyo 2015. La concept car in mostra di MMC è il veicolo elettrico (EV) con tecnologia di prossima generazione, una nuova visione sul concetto di design del frontale dinamico Shield, e una vasta gamma di altre tecnologie per un piacere di guida superiore in un pacchetto crossover compatto. Il display del MMC riflette il tema principale di “Driving Beyond” – un altro passo in avanti con SUV e l’energia elettrica.

Eleganza & Fuoristrada 100% elettrica

Mitsubishi eX Concept è una visione di un unico SUV compatto tutto elettrico finalizzato alla rapida crescita del mercato dei SUV compatti. Esso utilizza tecnologie di controllo delle quattro ruote motrici dello state-of-the art degli EV MMC e sono stati combinati con la guida automatica, l’auto connesso ed i sistemi di sicurezza attiva.

Sia nel design esterno che in quello interno indica la direzione che il design MMC sta prendendo. Nel complesso, evoca l’immagine di un crossover sportivo in grado di muoversi agilmente in città in quanto unisce l’eleganza di una “shooting brake” (un lusso in una Sporty Wagon) con linee di SUV compatto. Il frontale è una nuova interpretazione del concetto di design del frontale dinamico Shield.

State of the art della versatilità della tecnologia ibrida plug-in

L’Outlander PHEV comprende un telaio che dimostra le caratteristiche tecniche dei sistemi Plug-in EV Hybrid e Twin Motor 4WD in modo facilmente comprensibile. Inoltre vi è un georama di una comunità virtuale utilizzando sistemi V2X che forniscono energia elettrica dalla batteria del Outlander PHEV per una miriade di usi, visualizzando la versatilità e le possibilità dei veicoli elettrici.

50 anni di veicoli elettrici

Il percorso per la Mitsubishi eX Concept verrà raccontato attraverso un pannello che illustra la storia di 50 anni di ricerca e sviluppo di MMC nel campo dello sviluppo degli EV. Esempi di vita reale che supportano la visualizzazione comprenderà un Baja Portalegre 500 Outlander PHEV, vettura da rally con una custom i-MiEV a commemorare quegli 50 anni.

Ad unire questi sarà un certo numero di modelli con altri eco-tecnologie come i modelli alimentati da motori puliti diesel, minivetture, e altri veicoli ecologici.

Inoltre, Smart Mobility City 2015 (SMC) visualizza un PHEV che viene utilizzato per spiegare il valore di un EV. L’Outlander PHEV è collegato ad un sistema V2H per riprodurre il flusso di energia in un giorno nella vita di una casa che utilizza un EV / PHEV.

SMC 2015 ospiterà  anche la dimostrazione automatica di guida in cui una macchina di prova in fase di sviluppo in collaborazione con MMC e Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. Questa macchina di prova permetterà ai visitatori di sperimentare un giro in un veicolo senza conducente. Il programma il giro di prova permette ai visitatori di sperimentare le funzioni di cui queste vetture sono dotate. Questi includono navigazione driverless nell’ingorgo mantenendo lo spazio con i veicoli in movimento lento nel traffico congestionato con sensori ad ultrasuoni per rilevare il veicolo che precede, nonché un parcheggio automatizzato a distanza in una fila di veicoli parcheggiati che utilizzano sensori ad ultrasuoni per rilevare la quantità di posto auto e gli ostacoli.

Another step forward with SUVs and electric power

Tokyo, Japan. October 8^th, 2015. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will unveil the Mitsubishi eX[1] Concept, a compact SUV concept car, with a next-generation EV system at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015[2]. The concept car showcases MMC’s next-generation electric vehicle (EV) technologies, a new take on the Dynamic Shield front design concept, and a vast range of other technologies for superior driving pleasure in a compact crossover package. MMC’s display reflects the main theme of “Driving Beyond” – another step forward with SUVs and electric power.

ELEGANCE & SUV & 100% ELECTRIC

The Mitsubishi eX Concept is a vision for a unique all electric powered compact SUV aimed at the fast growing compact SUV market. It uses MMC’s state-of-the art EV and all-wheel control technologies combined with automated driving, connected car, and active safety systems.

Both exterior and interior design indicate the direction MMC Design is taking. Overall, it evokes the image of a sporty crossover zipping nimbly around town as it merges the elegance and stylishness of a “shooting brake” (a luxury and sporty estate wagon) with compact SUV lines. The front end is a new interpretation of the Dynamic Shield front design concept.

State of the Art plug-in hybrid technology & versatility

The Outlander PHEV area includes a model Outlander PHEV chassis which demonstrates the technical features of Plug-in Hybrid EV and Twin Motor 4WD systems in an easily understandable way. In addition there is a georama of a virtual community using V2X[3] systems which supply electric power from the Outlander PHEV’s drive battery for a myriad of uses, visualising the versatility and possibilities of electric-powered vehicles.

50 years of electric vehicles

The path to the Mitsubishi eX Concept will be told through a panel display telling the story of 50 years of MMC’s research and development in the field of EV development. Real life examples that support the display will include a Baja Portalegre 500 Outlander PHEV cross-country rally car[4] along with a custom-wrapped i-MiEV commemorating those 50 years.

Joining these will be a number of models featuring other eco-technologies such as models powered by clean diesel engines, minicars, and other eco-friendly vehicles on public days.

In addition, the Smart Mobility City 2015 (SMC)[5] will display an Outlander PHEV which is used to explain the value of an EV when stationary. The Outlander PHEV is linked to a V2H[6] system to reproduce the flow of energy in a day in the life of a home that uses an EV/PHEV.

SMC 2015 will also play host to the Automated Driving Demonstration[7] where a test car currently being developed jointly with MMC and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will be exhibited. This test car will allow visitors to experience a ride in a driverless vehicle. The test ride program allows visitors to experience the functions these cars are equipped with. These include driverless traffic jam navigation by keeping space with slow moving vehicles in congested traffic using ultrasonic sensors to detect the vehicle ahead as well as automated remote parking in a row of parked vehicles using ultrasonic sensors to detect the amount of parking space and obstacles.
