Putrajaya, Malesia. 20 Novembre 2014. In seguito alla vittoria di Lucas di Grassi nella prima mondiale dela Formula E a Pechino, Schaeffler ed il Team ABT non lascieranno nulla di intentato per ripetere il successo nel secondo round in Malesia.
Il circuito cittadino della città di Putrajaya si trova a circa 25 chilometri a sud della capitale Kuala Lumpur e con una lunghezza di 2,56 km è chiaramente più corto della pista di Pechino.
Il circuito temporaneo è stato progettato dall’architetto britannico Simon Gibbons, che aveva creato il concetto di alcuni degli impianti sportivi dei Giochi Olimpici del 2012 a Londra.
Per Schaeffler, la regione Asia / Pacifico è un mercato importante da decenni.
I marchi della società sono presenti in Asia da oltre 50 anni.
Le attività svolte nei mercati asiatici sono gestite dalla sede regionale a Shanghai che è stata costituita nel 2007.
Con due sedi a Kuala Lumpur e Sungai Nibong il Gruppo Schaeffler è rappresentato anche in Malesia. In Formula E, Schaeffler è sulla griglia come partner tecnologico esclusivo del Team ABT Sportsline e descritto con il suo logo sulle vetture di Daniel Abt e Lucas di Grassi.

Schaeffler and Team ABT aim to confirm opening success

Putrajaya, Malesia. November 20, 2014. Following Lucas di Grassi’s celebrated victory in the Formula E world premiere in Beijing, Schaeffler and Team ABT are leaving no stone unturned to repeat the success in round two in Malaysia. The city street circuit in Putrajaya is located about 25 kilometers south of the capital Kuala Lumpur and with a length of 2.56 kilometers is clearly shorter than the track in Beijing. The temporary circuit was designed by the British architect Simon Gibbons, who had created the concept for some of the sports facilities of the 2012 Olympic Games in London as well.
For Schaeffler, the Asia/Pacific region has been an important market for decades. The company’s brands have been present in Asia for over 50 years. The Asian business activities are run from the regional headquarters in Shanghai that was established in 2007. With two branches in Kuala Lumpur and Sungai Nibong the Schaeffler Group is represented in Malaysia as well. In Formula E, Schaeffler is on the grid as the exclusive technology partner of Team ABT Sportsline and featured with its logo on the cars of Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi.
