Mosca, Russia. 6 maggio 2016. Formula E ha confermato oggi che la nona prova del Campionato FIA di Formula E non avrà luogo a Mosca il 4 giugno.

Insieme con le autorità locali, la Formula E ha preso la decisione di non correre nella capitale russa a causa di circostanze recenti e impreviste legate alla chiusura delle strade.

“Anche se è spiacevole la notizia di non correre a Mosca il 4 giugno, abbiamo preso in considerazione una serie di opzioni alternative, come una sostituzione, ma non siamo riusciti a trovare una soluzione praticabile in quella data specifica,” ha detto il CEO di Formula E Alejandro Agag. “Abbiamo esplorato tutte le possibilità tra cui il ritorno a Monaco, ma purtroppo non potevamo organizzare il cambio di sede con così poco  tempo di preavviso. Mi piacerebbe esprimere il mio grazie a SAS il Principe Alberto II di Monaco, Michel Boeri, e l’Automobile Club de Monaco che hanno fatto del loro meglio per vedere il ritorno della Formula E alle strade del Principato per la stagione due. Ora ci concentreremo sulle tre gare rimanenti a Berlino e il doppio appuntamento a Londra, che sono sicuro offrirà una conclusione emozionante nella battaglia per il campionato. “

Formula E will not race in Moscow on June 4th

Moscow, Russia. May 6 2016. Formula E has today confirmed that round nine of the FIA Formula E Championship will not take place in Moscow on June 4.

Together with the local authorities, Formula E has taken the decision not to race in the Russian capital due to recent and unforeseen circumstances related to road closures.

“While it is unfortunate news not to race in Moscow on June 4, we looked at a number of alternative options as a replacement but were not able to find a viable solution on that specific date,” said Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag. “We explored all possibilities including returning to Monaco, but regrettably couldn’t organise the change of venue on such short notice. I’d like to express my thanks to HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Mr. Michel Boeri, and the Automobile Club de Monaco who did their utmost to see Formula E return to the streets of the Principality for season two. We will now focus on the three remaining races in Berlin and the double-header in London, which I’m sure will deliver a thrilling conclusion in the battle for the championship.”
