Hong Kong ePrix nella terza stagione del calendario di Formula E

Hong Kong, Cina. 9 Ottobre 2015. Hong Kong sarà nel calendario della terza stagione del FIA Formula E Championship.

L’Hong Kong ePrix si terrà il 9 ottobre 2016 nella pista che sarà soggetta all’omologazione FIA. Il circuito di 2 km si svolgerà tra il polmone Wo Road e la Star Ferry, con le vetture in grado di raggiungere velocità fino a 225 km/h (140 mph).

Esattamente tra un anno a partire da ora le vetture scenderanno in pista nel Hong Kong ePrix con DHL, partner logistico ufficiale del campionato, offrendo alla Formula E il palcoscenico del quartiere centrale della città.

Annunciato in una conferenza stampa presso lo spazio centrale Harbourfront in un evento insieme con il campione in carica di Formula E Nelson Piquet Jr, il CEO di Formula E Alejandro Agag, ha dichiarato:

“L’Hong Kong ePrix sarà uno dei momenti salienti del calendario del FIA Formula E Championship. Come una delle città più innovative, all’avanguardia e amante del divertimento di tutto il mondo, Hong Kong e la Formula hanno molte delle stesse qualità. Non vediamo l’ora di portare tutto il divertimento e l’intrattenimento della Formula E a quest’affascinante città, insieme al motorsport internazionale a Hong Kong”.

Lawrence Yu Kam-Kee, Presidente della Hong Kong Automobile Association (HKAA), organismo ufficiale del motorsport della RAS e forza trainante del progetto, ha dichiarato:

“Vorrei ringraziare il governo di Hong Kong e in particolare la Commissione Turismo, per il loro sostegno nel contribuire a rendere il Hong Kong ePrix una realtà. Il circuito cittadino presenterà la nostra città a milioni di persone in tutto il mondo, e dimostrerà che Hong Kong può organizzare un grande evento internazionale di altissimo livello. L’Hong Kong ePrix sarà molto di più di una gara; sarà una festa per tutta la comunità”.

Il conto alla rovescia per l’Hong Kong ePrix si è acceso con TAG Heuer, Official Timekeeper della Formula E.

Hong Kong ePrix to feature on season three calendar

Hong Kong, China. 9th October 2015. Hong Kong is set to feature on the calendar for season three of the FIA Formula E Championship.

The Hong Kong ePrix will take place on October 9 2016 subject to FIA track homologation. The 2km circuit will run between Lung Wo Road and the Star Ferry, with cars reaching speeds of up to 225kph (140mph).

Exactly one year from now the cars will hit the track for the Hong Kong ePrix with DHL, the championship’s Official Logistics Partner, delivering Formula E to the city’s Central district.

Announced at a press conference at the Central Harbourfront Event space along with the reigning Formula E champion Nelson Piquet Jr, Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag, said:

“The Hong Kong ePrix will be one of the highlights on the FIA Formula E Championship calendar. As one of the most innovative, cutting-edge and fun-loving cities in the world, Hong Kong and Formula E share many of the same qualities. We look forward to bringing all the fun and entertainment of Formula E to this amazing city, and international motorsport back to Hong Kong.”

Lawrence Yu Kam-Kee, President of the Hong Kong Automobile Association (HKAA), the SAR’s official motorsport body and the driving force behind the project, said:

“I would like to thank the Hong Kong Government, and particularly the Tourism Commission, for their support in helping to make the Hong Kong ePrix a reality. The street circuit will showcase our city to millions around the world, and demonstrate that Hong Kong can stage a major international event of the very highest calibre. The Hong Kong ePrix will be far more than a race; it will be a celebration for the entire community.”

The countdown to the Hong Kong ePrix is on with TAG Heuer, Formula E’s Official Timekeeper.
